"Regular" versus "Plus size" models

I found this interesting. A Uk size 16 is more like a US 12-14ish though so keep that in mind. Who do you think looks better?

Picture 1: The skinnier model. It's not really fair though because they're not pictured at the same angle.
Picture 2: Definitely the plus size model.
Picture 3:The skinnier model only because the plus size model is bending her torso too much.
Picture 4: The plus size model.

I think it goes to show that plus size models take just as alluring pictures as regular size models. To be fair though, a 12-14 isn't really plus size.

what pisses me off is that plus size models arent even plus size! they're still in the normal range of styles.

and none of those models look plus size, by the standards that the rest of us live by.

I love Crystal Renn! She's such a great model, I've been browsing numerous blogs with tons of pics of her and I just loooove her! She's so beautiful!

I love her legs so much more than the 'regular model'

Crystal Renn is definitely really well proportioned though, as though she's 'plus size' she's really fit/svelt plus size, not really many jelly rolls on her. Just goes to show that you do have to be almost perfect to be a model, even (/especially?) a plus sized one.

here's what i mean by her having great proportions. she's bigger but still had a great body. i'm definitely quite a bit smaller than her and there's no way i'd look that good in a bikini


also i think the pics from the article look waaaay photoshopped, Crystal looks no bigger than a size 8-10 in the pics with the high waisted skirt & the red belt

Keep in mind these are plus-sized *models*, they are photshopped to hell, and plus-sized doesn't always have to mean fat and flabby; there are plenty of size 12 women who are proportionate and solid.
However I think it goes without saying that there needs to be more diversity in the modelling world -- I much prefer to see more natural looking women than stick-thin girls allll the timeee.

Personally, I don't like any of those photos. Probably because the outfits are ugly, it's so photoshopped, and it looks like someone poured vegetable oil all over their legs.

She doesn't even look plus-sized, but she does look better than the skinnier girl.
