Parking at a resort just for dinner

We are going to be in FL in April. We cannot go to the parks but have a couple of nights in Orlando (at an undetermined offsite hotel). We'd like to get a small Disney fix by eating at the Poly. Can we park there for an hour or so for free, or will we need to pay for deluxe resort parking?

Thanks.

The resort parking fees are only for overnight guests.

Thank you both! What about the main parking to MK? If we want to go to the poly for dinner, don’t we have to go through that and pay for parking as if we are going to the park?

Nope ! All you need to do is when you get to the toll booths at MK tell them that you're just going for dinner or shopping whatever and they'll wave you through. (after a certain time of day the booths don't even have attendants in them). When you get to the guard shack at the poly or contemporary - again just tell them the same thing. They'll ask for your driver's license and then tell you where you can park. We do it all the time !

You no longer need to go through the parking booths at all when driving to any of the MK resorts. As part of the on-going road work at WDW, there is now a bypass road off to the right that is used by resort guests and buses. Just watch for the signs.

If you wish to go to M.K. for a Dinner meal & Shopping & a Look around do you require a Disney Day Entry Ticket ?

Entry time about 7 pm . NOT Staying on Disney Property but staying 20 miles away .

We go to the resorts a lot for dinner - no problem at all even now day guests are not charged for parking.

You need a ticket to eat in a park-no matter how short a time you're there.

Yes, you need a ticket to enter a park.
