Nicki aka mickeyschickie, 22, new bride, has been looking forward to Disneymoon since set date for wedding
Ernie aka farmerboy, 23, new groom, eager to get away from the farm for a little R&R
We have been dating for nearly eight years...high school sweethearts (we met on the school bus in junior high) We were engaged in 1998, set the date in November of 1999 and married on 11.11.2000
Well, the wedding on November 11th was wonderful, everything went as planned and we were excited and ready to go on our honeymoon. So, on the 12th, we opened presents, rested and finalized all our last minute arrangements before the trip.
Monday, November 13, 2000-
We awoke at 4 am, I hardly got any sleep the night before because I was so nervous about flying. My parents were taking us to the airport, we had a 6:30 flight out of Baltimore. I was excited but nervouse because I had never flown before. I booked an early flight for two reasons: #1 I wouldn't be fully awake until well after take -off, or so I had hoped and #2 I wanted to have a memorable, full day for our first day at WDW.
Boarding- no problem, taking off- no problem, looking out the window at the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean- fabulous...Ernie telling me that when we boarded the plane he turned to wave and saw my mother sobbing...problem...I love my parents very much and we a very close and I've never been to WDW without them...this is going to feel so weird without the King and Queen of the Magic Kingdom accompanying the new couple on all the excursions of the upcoming week...it turned out well after all...
Next- arrival @ MCO, the Wilderness Lodge and the Magic Kingdom!!!!
