It sounds like you're having a wonderful time! Although I do feel sorry for your poor daughter,I didn't feel great during The Simpson's ride last year, give me an old fashion roller coaster any day!;)

Thursday 2nd June

Typhoon Lagoon - after the rain yesterday afternoon we woke to a beautiful day and a little cooler in temperature - phew! A perfect day for a water park. We arrived a little after opening with plenty of choice of where to sit. we didn't waste anytime and rode as many slides etc as we could, just in case it got really busy - but it didn't seem to. With the exception of the family raft ride, the longest queue at the peak of the day was 20 mins, most were 10 or 5, Family raft ride 45mins. We had a fun day and quite relaxing as we didn't really wait for the rides. The girls announced that this was their best day so far - kids love water rides don't they! We stayed in the park until just before closing, come back to the house for a rest, shower etc and then went back to The Ale House on 192. 2nd visit this holiday - we really like it there, great atmosphere, the food is good value, service good and we haven't had to wait for a table (probably the time of year).

Tomorrow we are returning to Universal in the hope of having better luck than our last visit. Needless to say we won't be rushing to Harry Potter!

I don't have any photos from the water parks but tomorrow I will post a pic of our dessert tonight at the Ale House. Too tired now....

Sounds like you had a great time :goodvibes I love TL too...its such a great day... one of my fav parks :lovestruc

Oh no I hope I haven't turned you off The Forbidden Journey - it was just too intense for me.

I love Waterparks too - we did go on Crush n Gusher - about three times!! great fun!

Today (Friday) we have been to Universal again. I definitely feel that the Universal Parks are busier, probably because we don't have the facility to Fastpass. We refuse to buy Universal Express but we considered staying onsite but couldn't find a good deal. Perhaps on our next visit....
We got completely drenched in the morning by going on Ripsaw Falls and Bluto Raft Ride! The queues were good in the early morning but as the day wore on they came progressively worse - as you would expect - and then about an hour before park closing they were manageable again. The girls spent most of the afternoon in the Curious George playground. All that water keeps them entertained for hours!

We ate at Planet Hollywood on the way back to the house. It was OK, very loud music (I'm sounding old again!) but we have had better value meals elsewhere, e.g The Ale House, Outback etc.

Tomorrow we are going to Discovery Cove. I'm really looking forward to it as we've never done it before so this will be a new experience for us.

Oh wow, i just love live trip reports (or any trip reports come to that) you get so many idea's and tips, so a BIG thankyou from me for putting in so much effort. Especially love the photo's of the food, keep em coming.
Again thankyou and am really looking forward to reading more.

Well a funny thing happened today!!!

We decided to have a slow start to the day for Discovery Cove. So we woke naturally at 8am, did the normal routine but no breakfast. We arrived at DC at about 9.20am went to the check in desk (BTW first impressions looked lovely and relaxing). The lady couldn't find our reservation and after checking our paperwork - guess what? we had arrived a day early!!!! :rotfl: - but better than a day late! You know how it is when you're here, you lose all track of time, day of week etc - whoops! So Discovery Cove tomorrow :goodvibes

So what to do instead? To start off with we decided to do something we never normally do and that was breakfast at Dennys. Over breakfast we discussed our options thinking the parks would be very busy by the time we arrived - and arriving late is against our park ethos - more queues and less Fastpass opportunities, yuk!! In the end the girls choose Blizzard Beach. We decided to give it a go thinking that it would be very busy and difficult to find shaded seating etc. We arrived at about 11.30am but we were amazed to find a great place to sit, acceptable wait times with the exception of Double Dipper and Summit Plummit -so once again we enjoyed a great water park day :goodvibes. BTW has anyone noticed that you can rent premium space at the waterparks now - you get towel hire, locker, unlimited soft drinks, ice box and water, an attendant for the day, upgraded comfortable beds under covered shade and private sand area for the kids to play in. Would be quite nice if a couple of families got together - minimum seats 6 but you can get larger areas. Cost might be prohibitive????

Tonight we went to House of Blues as we had the Restaurant.com voucher. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere and it made it a reasonable cost with the discount. No room for dessert as we wanted to attend the 9pm showing of Fantasmic. Great show as usual.

Tomorrow - Discovery Cove!!!!! I will take more photos so promise to post more tomorrow.

Thanks for the update -what a shame getting the wrong day for DC but nice that you could see the funny side and still have an enjoyable day:thumbsup2
I look forward to hearing all about DC as I've never been.
I am sure you will have fun!

Cost for Premium Space is $250+ tax, details here. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/guides/blizzard/blizzard.htm

Shame you got the wrong day but can I recommend you arrive earlier than 9:20am tomorrow, the best way we found was opening time or just before, arriving late usually means a mid afternoon swim time when the sun is at its hottest, arrive just before opening and you have time to enjoy the included breakfast then a morning dolphin swim, you then have rest of day to enjoy doing everything else in the cove. We stay from opening to closing, great relaxing day with lots of food & drink. :cloud9:

what luck that BB wasn't crowded!!!
have fun with the dolphins tomorrow - today.....not sure...but whenever it is :)
