Thanks I think to be safe..we're going to sit somewhere around mainstreet for the parades. After the MNSSHP two years ago..we felt like sardines trying to make our way back to the front of the park

We always watch from Liberty Square for all parades and fireworks. Much less crowded and we just hang out until the crowds clear.

The only time I go to the hub is when there's a new castle light show I want to see. I lucked out in May. There was a terrible storm and they cancelled the first MSEP. By the time the second parade rolled around the park was so empty half curbs in the hub were completely clear.

How many November people have got their yellow luggage tags for magical express? We check in 3 weeks from tomorrow! Yay! We have magic bands and our other packet of Mickey Mail but no DME yet. Can't remember what the timeline is on those. I am a little nervous about it just because we received tags when we originally booked POR and I called to add DME directly. The packet came right after I called them. We changed to AoA and added my sister. Just wondered how long to wait until I should call and check.

I came into the industry via a back door but I've worked on the VAX. DH actually hosted a bulletin board on his Atari 800 in high school. His Dad was in I.T. So they had a dedicated phone modem line for his work. of course only one person could call in at a time. And after college DH and I used to hang out in mainframe hosted chat rooms. I met one of my dearest friends that way. She was in our wedding and people were always amazed that we met online because this was all pre-Internet.

We still have the Atari and all it's peripherals. We did just get rid of the PS3 but that's because we have the Xbox and WIIU and the new Xbox is coming for Christmas. But I'm pretty old school when it comes to gaming; I'll take the PC over the console any day. Though the voice features have some serious potential.

Very cool. You guys were so lucky that his dad was in IT and you had a dedicated phone line. My parents were not tech people at all. That was the funny part about meeting some of my bio family, turns out they were all a bunch of engineers.

I'm so jealous that you still have your Atari, my parents gave mine away when I went to college along with my first computer, an Apple IIC. My second computer that was cutting edge at the time had a 20M hard drive and ran at 12 Mhz I still miss DOS

PC gaming is definitely better than console gaming for most things. I could play AOE and Dungeon Keeper forever, but my newer computers can't run Dungeon Keeper anymore. I have a bunch of old dead computers around that I need to scavenge for parts in order to create one older system that can handle the older games that I still like to play. I like the ease of the PS3 though, especially when I share it with the kids. I also love how easy it is to stream everything through, it makes a great entertainment hub for the family room. I won't bother replacing it until it dies.

I have a LTT reservation at 6:50 on a night of MVMCP that we don't have tickets for. We are going to the party another night. We have every intention of heading out right away but thinking the parade will be just starting. Will it be hard to get through? And last year at the Halloween party we attended, we were asked every 10 steps to show our bands. Which was annoying but I really appreciate they take such effort to make sure those who didn't pay aren't staying. Will that happen at the Christmas party as we are on our way out? Partially kidding, I feel like I should make a sign saying "we are leaving!"

MSEP and Celebrate start at the front. Not sure about the Christmas parade. Halloween parade starts at the back.

Christmas started in the back last yr- like in the Frontierland area, I believe.

All my Mickey Mail came together (tags & vouchers) early last week. Definitely call. We check in 11/11.

More stuff arrived today! I ordered "Thing 1, Thing 2, etc" tshirts for the whole family off of eBay on Monday and they already came. I even ordered a onesie with Thing 6 for our impending addition. They look fantastic. I would post a pic if I could ever figure out how to do that. I am technologically challenged. We wanted some kind of matching shirts for touring. We had neon tie dye tshirts from a few trips ago but the kids are growing out of theirs; when I said I was going to order new ones, DH said "no more tie dye!" I loved the shirts and it was so easy to spot each other in a crowded park.

Photopass + also arrived today. I think that it stinks that I have to redeem my voucher at a restaurant or attraction before I can get my card. That means when we arrive at MK on our first morning, I can't get pics taken on it by any Photopass photographers on the way up Main St! Why can't they let you redeem them at all of the Disney hotels too, so it can be done on checkin?

Sheilby, I saw on the cancellation thread that you got an earlier time for CP; that should make it easier to see Wishes.

And I just want to give a thumbs up to the Disboards! I was fooling around with editing options for the color of the forums and in doing so messed up the look of the entire boards, and was then unable to access anything in user cp. This meant I could never access or change my signature, ticker, etc. You would have been seeing my pregnancy ticker when my fetus was going to college! One email to tech support, and I got a response and my problem fixed in less than 2 hours. Thanks Webmaster Kathy!

Now all I need to come in the mail is my extra luggage tags; I think I may have to call again and order some more.

Don't worry about the PP+ card, you only need that for the character meals and attractions (although you can use it for any pictures). You can just grab a regular photopass card and add it to your account or even use your MB for the regular photopass photographers on Main street.

I'm still stalking Cara though, she moves her time up so I move my time up. The 7:45 had been hers, then I grabbed it, then the 7:15 slot had been hers and I grabbed it. I think she keeps moving her time up to get away from me.

I called and the CM asks if I received a packet in June. Well yes I did but it was for POR. Even though when I switched my reservation with the disney reservation service and they said they took care of the DME, I still needed to call DME directly to switch the info. She said look for your packet in 7-10 days. Relieved that question is answered.

1) no sweat, just take a picture of the back of the card (or write down the number). As long as you have the code you will be able to add the pictures to your Disney account. We juggled 5 different cards last time between the seven of us. We had our original, then wound up with others from the Halloween party plus hubby/grandparents getting cards when we got separated.

4) I have the urge to drive down to you know and teach you. What do you do to get your pictures developed now? There are a few ways you can do it, depending on what device you took the picture on. My MIL doesn't like the hassle of downloading things, so she just pops out her memory card and pops it into the kiosk at the store to get pictures developed. I prefer to download them to my computer and then upload them to the Costco site.

I'm so bad I have a phone, tablet, laptop and desktop. Oh, and don't forget my PS3 which is for me, not the kids. This is why I can't vacation in Disney as much as I'd like, I spend too much money on tech.

That's about what I have in addition to the PS2 because you can't play the earlier games (like Pacman World) on the PS3. The PS4 is coming out and it's taking all I have not to buy it.
