Nice hotels with waterslides

We plan to come to orlando one day early and want to stay at a place with a great water area, slides zero entry resort. I have read about Gaylord palms and marriott world center. Can you send any suggestions?

Our kids are 10 and 7.

Yacht or Beach Club and Storm Along Bay. We ended up flying in a day early and booked at YC for the night to try out what is widely considered the best resort pool on site.

I even added my CM niece to our reservation so she could try it out!

I was thinking not a disney one as this is for next Saturday and the rates there are high with no discounts. All of the hotels with the great pools seem so massive and I'm worried about the size for a one day pool day.

Holiday Inn club Vacations River Island has some awesome pool areas.
Water slides, zero entry pool area, lazy river and two pools on either end of the lazy river.

We were just at the Omni resort yesterday and they had a great pool with slide and lazy river.

Hilton Orlando has a waterslide and lazy river.

Renaissance at SeaWorld has waterslides and a fun-looking pool area.

Liki Tiki Resort has an onsite waterpark.

Caribe Royale has a waterslide (check Mousesavers for a discount rate).

We stayed at the Marriott World Resort in April. They had a great huge pool, but it was not zero entry. They have two waterslides, but we never got to try them as they are only open 11am till 7pm.
Great resort, but parking is a nightmare. Every review I had read about the resort from Tripadvisor was right on.

Coco Key water resort has a waterpark, maybe that would work.I stayed at the Hilton Orlando on I Drive a couple of years ago and was frustrated at how nice the lazy river and pool area were because it was about 28 degrees at night,I at least walked around the lazy river and thought about being inside.I also remember a waterslide.

Hey Guys well i think that there are many hotels are available including the Pools but having not slides. For that the golden nugget is really Wonderful.Look it up online i went there and my kids had a good time. Thanks!!

The Hilton Par Soleil has a fantastic big slide in the middle of the large zero entry pool. Slide races every day.

Marriott World Center has 2 pools, a splash zone, and 3 waterslides that are pretty fun. I was just there last week and thought it would be fun for that age group.

Orange Lake (Holiday Inn Vacation Club) has a zero entry pool plus a pretty good pool area with waterslides and lazy river, but you have to pay for the tubes for the lazy river.

I think either one would be fun!

Hilton Bonnet Creek....great pool/slide/lazy river area and great staff. You will feel like your at a 5 star resort.:thumbsup2

Unless you have a short 7 year old. Mine isn't 48" and we're booked for Sept... :worried: Our waterslides here (at the Jersey Shore) aren't as restrictive on height, so I was caught short on that. It really stinks because he's been a USA swimmer for over 2 years, and surfs, so it's not like he's unskilled in the water... we're a little bummed and I pre-paid. :-)headache: on me)

BTW, the solution: a day at our waterpark before we leave. :upsidedow

I'm pretty sure people are asking about the Orlando area but you are correct that the slide at the Golden Nugget in Vegas is fantastic. I really have a hard time figuring out why anyone would take there children to a Vegas casino for a vacation, especially one in downtown Vegas. There are Blackjack tables poolside and the Fremont experience is nothing but a drunk fest (I love it but not with my child) and is filled with bums. In my opinion, if you take your child on a vacation in Vegas it is because that is where you want to vacation...........great place for an adult but a horrible place to take a kid. I recently saw a guy get his head split open on the strip and have been approached by more hookers than I can count.

Thank you for pointing this out. Does anyone know if this height limit holds true for all of the resorts listed so far? My 6 year old is not tall, but he is a good swimmer!

FYI - I just spoke with the Four Seasons, and their slide also has a 48" height restriction. Ugh.

We just returned from Wyndham Bonnet Creek and were so disappointed that they have a 48" height restriction. :( Our daughter is 8.5 but is in the tenth percentile for height. She is a great swimmer but was held back from the water slide as she is only 47.5". There were 5 year olds using the slide and many who didn't get measured that appeared smaller than her. The Fountains (Blue Green) did not have a restriction. Not sure if the slide at Marriott Harbor Lake is very thrilling but we may try that one next.

I don't know if there is a restriction at Hilton Bonnet Creek but if there is it would only be really little kids. My friends 5yo went down the slide so many times the attendant couldn't stop laughing. The 5yo was small for his age at the time.

Coco Key has an area for smaller kids that has smaller slides with a shallow pool entry. The bigger slides outside you can ride tandem. So an adult can take a small child. I took my friends 5yo down the outside ones several times. I do remember that he didn't want to ride them alone....they are pretty tall tube slides.
