There is finally some light!

Apparently, Disney has been working behind the scenes to improve opportunities for people to visit and enjoy both Disney’s and Universal’s Orlando area offerings with a single ticket system.

The pass is apparently going to be called the O-Pass and will permit users to select park access on a cyclical basis, with the requirement that there be park entrances on the first and last days of a ten day cycle. Ticket users must be staying in resort-controlled lodging, including Disney Vacation Club, any timeshare developed by Universal Florida, or hotels at either Disney or Universal. It is unknown whether the tickets will be available to guests of non-Disney hotels on Disney property.

The tickets are expected to be valid for multiple trips in a two year period. A payment plan will be available.

The goal for the parks is to continue to provide high value for guests and encourage longer stays, which are expected to help offset the discount applied to tickets. Pricing iis expected to be available sometime in the Fall.

To help meet the expected demand, a new hybrid timeshare/hotel, Le Premier Avril, is being developed at Epcot.

This may help explain the rumor of the new hotel!.

What great news to start the day!
