Those looks like the times we had 11-16th. That is the time when the bus leaves- they were extremely prompt when we were there.

Thanks -- so if those are the exact times when the buses leave, how much earlier should one plan to arrive at the kiosk? 5 minutes?

I have used this service a few times and the most people I have seen on the bus was 9 ( including myself) so it si not crowded at all.

by the way have you thought about email Disney and how to interact with people that are blind so that they know how to best help you go thought security. They may not change just because of you but if you have a few people that are blind email and say this would help me out they may listen. just a thought.

Thanks, I'll try your suggestion, I am still fighting for a few other things, have been for 8 years now. A cheap solution in my mind but evedentally, Disney does not agree. I want them to make a tape recording of instructions, I wish to have phone instructions, evacuation instructions, safe instructions (how to use the safe in the room) and coffee pot instructions, all on a tape that they give me at check in so that I can listen to it at will, not when we are all excited when we first get there and want to go to the park, but right before bed or something, and so I can listen to it a few times over and over until I get it. Disney must own tape recorders, heck they make and sell kid tape recorders with Mickey Mouse on the for what <$20, a tape is what <$5, they can rerecord over and over and over, they can make me put a deposit on it just encase I don't return it just like w/c, but he'll 8 years of asking and nothing, nothing at all. My problem with security is I don't mind telling them how to do it, don't touch my dog, wait and take a few extra minutes, I will get me and dog thru with no help, but they are in a rush, because people behind are in a rush to go thru medal detectors, my second problem is the radiation, they say it is small amounts, well even small emounts can cause cancer and if you already had cancer and radiation treatment and got radiation poisoning even a small amount is to much, I wish they would sign my paperwork stating that if I get cancer again that they understand the small amount is harmful to my condition. Pat me down, or like w/c people don't make me go thru it again and again and again.

I would be at the check-in point 5-10 minutes prior to departure. There are times when the CM may be helping another guest or working something out with another CM, so you can't always expect to be checked in as soon as you walk up.

If there are guests checking in at about the time of departure, the CM will call backstage to let them know that you are on your way back. As mentioned by several others, the buses depart very promptly.

I can't wait to try this out on our vacation which starts in 3 DAYS!!!! Thank you everyone for all the great information. I think they should eventually include the departure times in the brochure to make it easier for everyone. And I agree, a stop in World Showcase would be a game changer. I will include these in my email to Disney when we get home.

5-10 minutes is fine, the buses are really close to the check-in kiosks.

Thanks!!

here is the chart I made - the times work no matter which way you are going between those 2 parks

MK - EP 10/40
MK - DHS 20/50
MK - AK 0/30

EP - MK 10/40
EP - DHS 0/30
EP - AK 20/50

DHS - MK 20/50
DHS EP 0/30
DHS - AK 10/40

AK - MK 0/30
AK - EP 20/50
AK - DHS 10/40

yes, I know I could have typed out less but for me this type of chart is easiest to read. We were down from 1/17 - 1/24 and the times were correct every time we used them (most days we did 3 parks per day) We did not use the Express Buses the last day (day 8) or the 2nd to last day due to foolish decision making not to use it - not smart boy did we miss it :-)
Thank you!

.....

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but does this mean MK bus leaves for Epcot at 10 and 40 minutes past the hour? Leaves for DHS at 20 and 50 minutes past? Leaves for AK on the hour and the half hour? Etc.?
:thanks:

Yes. :)

5-10 minutes is fine, the buses are really close to the check-in kiosks.

Animal Kingdom buses are farthest. CMs ask you to be at least 10 min early, to be safe, especially bc sometimes they have issues with the iPads. Buses leave right on the dot and won't wait.

At MK it's right by the standby line to Buzz/Buzz meet and greet so close to Launching Pad. At DHS it's right by the queen to Rock n Rollercoaster and there is a drink/snack stand there. At EPCOT it's up at the front close to Guest Relations so I guess you could walk to the carts in front of Electric Umbrella. we didn't hop to AK this trip so someone else will have to chime in

At AK there is Kusafiri for sandwiches, bakery, beverages, or Tamu Tamu for snacks, including Dole Whips, as well as cold drinks. Both are in Africa and just a few minutes from check-in location, which is next to the Safari..

And those are the times by which you have to report to the in-park kiosk, or the time by which you need to be at the actual bus (to which they lead you from the kiosk)?

You want to be early
We walked up at departure time exactly and had to wait on the next bus
Don't cut it too close

those are the times the bus leaves....so you should be at the kiosk 5 minutes before that IMO...well at least 5 minutes - we went during a low crowd time and had no problems getting to a bus in time (other than the 10 am bus when the Guest relations folks came out less than 5 minutes before 10 - we made the bus but they ended up just waving us through / not scanning us since their equipment wasn't warmed up yet)

Man .. I hope they keep this for another two months. I am banking in my plans (Fast Pass times) the ability to use the Express Bus from DHS to MK and being dropped off right in the park. If not, I may have to reconsider hopping AT ALL .. as I would think it would add a significant time to get from DHS to MK via car or normal bus. .. but if so .. that would wreck my FP plans I just made .. as I am going to DHS in morning and made all my Fast Passes for MK after 1:15 PM.

Again .. the Disney way of wanting you to play 60 days in advance but not giving you solid information on what schedules will look like that far in advance.

My plan is to catch the noon Indiana Jones show .. catch the next bus from DHS to MK and then immediately use a FP for Buzz Lightyear (my son's favorite ride).

And I am only planning on doing it for ONE day (short trip). But the one day price of $15/each is worth it to me for a family of 4 (1 infant).

I could see them potentially just upping the price of park hoppers and making this a part of the park hopping service. It may make it more appealing, because right now it is so expensive unless you are going on a really long trip.

Any news on how long this "test" is going for?

We were exiting ToT and decided we wanted to head to MK.

I told my wife that I had recently made a MAP of the "Internal Park Hopper Bus" locations and that I knew the DHS stop was just around the corner past R'n'RC.

We walked over to the spot and the CM asked where we were headed.
I said, "Magic Kingdom," and she said the bus was JUST ready to leave.
Another CM ran out to the bus and asked the driver to wait.
The first CM signed us up for the service in less than a minute,
and we were personally escorted by the second CM to the MK bus.
The driver greeted us and we sat down on a wonderfully cool bus (the outside temp was in the mid 80's and humid)
with only about 8 other riders.
Nice, direct trip from deep inside DHS... to deep inside MK.
The CM at MK waited for everyone to exit the bus, then walked us all to the backstage Tomorrowland
portal to the park.
We entered right next to Buzz Lightyear's outdoor Meet & Greet (next to the Buzz attraction.)
We simply strolled over to CoP and stepped inside when the doors opened.
Easy!

Kudos to all of the very pleasant and cheerful CMs involved in that entire transaction!
