New Concierge perk

Probably.

But that should NOT be the case. If some Concierge guests have the ability to leave the ship ahead of others, then all concierge guests should.

Can't recall any Concierge printed material that mentions early disembarking as a perk(?)

I have never seen it printed either, but there again this summer I had a heck of a load of extras not advertised given to us.

I don't think it's a new perk. It was available on the Fantasy last year and we we had other concierge offer to speed us through debarkation over the years on the Magic. Unless it's now documented in Concierge Perks by DCL I think it depends more on how good your concierge team is during your cruise.

Intresting. I've been on Dream x2 and Fanasty last Nov and I didn't hear about it from PJ. I'll ask for the scope in private to not cause am issues.

Well--If some Concierge guests have the ability to leave the ship ahead of others, then all concierge guests should. Should be no different than the ability to Board early.

I shall get to the bottom of it in a few days---

It's right on the DCL website. This is from the 1-bedroom suite page:

I was referring to priority "disembarkation" at the end of the cruise, and not priority tendering in ports of call . I have done the priority tendering many times.

These are two different things, Tendering as you say is advertised, priority disembarkation at the end of the cruise in a home port is not advertised.

Someone mentioned a few months back that there may be a separate Customs line for concierge. I seem to recall a wall set up in front of the Donald(concierge) luggage collection area.

Hmmm. That is interesting...we ate when the lounge opened up and then high tailed it off the ship. We had no lines thru customs or hallways etc. It was great!

It was everyone at one time last month. All Concierge guests walked out at the same time.

Not as of last month. The porter did mention they had recently reset the "path" you walk through to get to the customs desk and it does pass right by the Donald area.

From our Friends on the Fantasy last week, they were allowed to go from the Concierge Lounge in small groups and get to the front of the debarkation line--apparently like the fast Pass at WDW!!

Intresting, I'm on the Fanasty in almost 2 weeks. I'll report back. Not sure I'll use it because I have no flight time issues, we'll be waiting in the airport for a 2pm flight.

We were hanging out in the lounge just yesterday. In no hurry, with an after-1 flight and our bags already on the way to the airport. Had no intentions of leaving early, just of being in the lounge until they kicked us out.

We had seen groups leaving every half hour or so with a host, and weren't sure what it was. Then around 8ish Linda basically made it sound like it was lounge-closing, so we went out with the others.

By that time there was no line, so really we weren't cutting in front of anyone LOL. We considered getting out of the roped area and hanging out on deck 4 until the bitter end, but without pictures to get at Shutters, etc, there was really no reason. So we disembarked. At that point there was no separate line or anything, and we didn't even go to the concierge luggage area since all our bags were gone already. Entered the line with the non-concierge people.

We were concierge on the Magic for the S. Carib, & the repo to Port Canaveral debarking last Tuesday 10/21. I asked our concierge rep twice how to avoid the huge line at debarkation since we had 81 year old mother in law with us & a wheelchair. Both times she said to just have a seat perhaps in the lobby/atrium & wait till 9:15 am when most guests have left the ship.

Maybe the "debarkation" perk for concierge guests is only for the Disney Fantasy & the Dream?

As they are the two that have a concierge lounge to meet in I would say yes.

We did not have anything like that offered to us on our 2013 Fantasy sailing. We were told Friday afternoon on board that it was a recently added perk, but not told how long it had been in effect. Perhaps it was added more "recently" than our 2013 cruise.
It did appear that the customs lines followed a different path than last year, but no differences CL versus non-CL once you physically step off the ship that I noticed. It also appeared that the blue Donald section was in a completely different location than 10/2013.

Sorry! I missed that. I asked about priority disembarkation on my last cruise and was told it wasn't an option, but that was a year ago.

I was on the oct 24 dream last year and it wasn't an option.

we were on the oct 23 dream a few days ago and during our concierge "orientation" upon embarkation, ashley told us about the priority disembarkation and said it was a new perk. we were happy to see it, as it's really helped us out on royal caribbean before. we could choose times every 15 minutes, from really early until 8 a.m. (i'm not sure when the times started, because of course i chose the 8 a.m. :goodvibes ). linda got us an elevator and walked us to where they scan your card to get off the ship - we had our own "lane" for getting our cards scanned so we didn't have to wait behind anyone else. honestly, at that time, there were not many people in line to debark, so it wasn't a huge plus, but at other times i could see it being a big help. we were in our car at 8:30, which was great!

Just off the Fantasy. It appeared they were escorting everyone down to cut the line in the atrium for those who wanted to. Never noticed this service before. We left around 8:30ish and the line cut saved us a lot of time, because I couldn't see the end of the two lines.

Still took 20-30 minutes to get outside. 90% of that was waiting on gangway to check out KTTW. Not for CBP, porter, luggage find.

HTH

ETA; increased % from 85 to 90.

Yes. We departed fantasy concierge today too. No one informed us about the perk beforehand but once we saw the line wrapped all around the 3rd floor we asked an officer about concierge guests getting priority disembarking and he called Tracy down and had her escort us to the front of the line. Also, the gentleman helping with our luggage said a concierge customs line had been in place but was no longer offered so we stood in line with everyone else. Took about 30 minutes total for us and it was a HUGE perk to avoid that long line. I think we were down at a peek time..8:30ish...

It's been offered as long as I can recall, one just had to ask.

I've actually only over seen one or two instances where it would have been of benefit though, I sleep in and usually never see a line...
