What the heck is that? I dread the day my son starts getting homework.

Looks like a logic problem where you match each person with a song they sang, an animal noise they made, and what they ate...
I would have to expend some serious brain cells to solve it though....

watching survivor

make a grid -

on paper and put x next to the things that match up

According to all of his friends:

Connie: Goose Honking, Fried Bat, LaBamba
Carol: Cow Mooing, Hampster Fudge, Hound Dog
Cliff: Dog Barking, Pickled Mouse, Heartbreak Hotel
Charles: Chicken Clucking, Maggot Butter, Yesterday

The wonders of Facebook and Texting....hmmm

Easier way:

Make a chart (a simple table--no cross checking grid needed for this one):
List:
Sound, song, food, and name

Start filling in the things you know from all the clues that said which ones DO go together (1, 2, 3 and 5):
Sound...........Song.................Food.........................Name
Clucking.......Yesterday...........Maggot Butter.............blank (all clue 1
Barking.........LaBamba.............blank........................blank (clue 2)
Mooed..........blank.................Hamster Fudge............blank (clue 3)
blank............Heartbreak Hotel..Pickled Mouse.............blank (clue 5)

Now, fill in the other items that weren't listed in the hints since you only have one of each category left:

Sound...........Song.................Food.........................Name
Clucking.......Yesterday...........Maggot Butter.............blank
Barking.........LaBamba............Fried Bat....................blank
Mooed..........Hound Dog..........Hamster Fudge............blank
Honking........Heartbreak Hotel..Pickled Mouse.............blank

Now, you need to figure out who did what using the 'did not' information in clues 4 and 6.
Since Cliff didn't eat fried bat (clue 6) or honk or moo (clue 4), he only fits in the first row.

Since Charles didn't honk or moo according to clue 4 (and Cliff already took clucking), Charles must belong in the barking row.

Since Connie didn't sing Hound Dog (clue 6), she must have sang Heartbreak Hotel since that is the only other song left unclaimed.

Then Carol gets the only slot left open and you are done :-)

So your solution is:
Sound...........Song.................Food.........................Name
Clucking.......Yesterday...........Maggot Butter.............Cliff
Barking.........LaBamba............Fried Bat....................Charles
Mooed..........Hound Dog..........Hamster Fudge...........Carol
Honking........Heartbreak Hotel..Pickled Mouse.............Connie

According to all of his friends:

Connie: Goose Honking, Fried Bat, LaBamba
Carol: Cow Mooing, Hampster Fudge, Hound Dog
Cliff: Dog Barking, Pickled Mouse, Heartbreak Hotel
Charles: Chicken Clucking, Maggot Butter, Yesterday

The wonders of Facebook and Texting....hmmm

I respectfully disagree with his friends...

What do you think the answer is? I feel like there is a piece missing...

The answer I posted a few posts above is:
Sound...........Song.................Food.........................Name
Clucking.......Yesterday...........Maggot Butter.............Cliff
Barking.........LaBamba............FriedBat....................Charles
Mooed..........Hound Dog..........Hamster Fudge...........Carol
Honking........Heartbreak Hotel..Pickled Mouse.............Connie

If you follow the steps I listed in post 11, you should be able to figure out the answers. Hopefully doing it step by step will help you figure out the process.

Facebook friends are wrong. According to clue 2, whoever barked needs to sing LaBamba, so their solution doesn't work. I just checked because it is possible to have more than one correct answer, but this doesn't seem to be one of those times.

Not even going to check your work as thinking makes my brain hurt. I must say that if you are not a lawyer, you should be. Studying for the LSAT was fun only in the logic games section. You would have enjoyed it, I bet.

I teach special ed, but I do like logic puzzles :-)

 I think I'd refuse to do it on the grounds that reading that made me sick:rotfl:
