Knotts Berry Farm - Knotts Berry Farms is well known for its delicious chicken dinners, and you don't have to enter the park to eat at the restaurant.

Water Parks Info on Soak City at Knotts Berry Farm (Buena Park), Hurricane Harbor at Magic Mountain (Valencia), Raging Waters (San Dimas), and Wild Rivers (Irvine)
Six Flags Magic Mountain
Pirate Dinner Show, Medieval Times Dinner Show, Wax Museum, etc - The Pirate Adventure is the newest dinner show in the area. Medieval Times is a good dinner show where you cheer on your knight as you eat on the very old traditional way.

Let's start with local zoo's, the closest one is the Santa Ana Zoo known for its Monkeys, and has been featured in multiple films, also the OC Zoo in Irvine, then the LA Zoo, San Diego Zoo, and a separate San Diego Zoo Safari Park (former Wild Animal Park).
Aquariums, Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach is the closest and very well known, the Ocean Institute in Dana Point, SEALIFE Aquarium (part of LEGOLAND in Carlsbad), Birch Aquarium in La Jolla and SeaWorld San Diego.
Major Theme Parks, Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios Hollywood, Six Flags Magic Mountain, LEGOLAND California and SeaWorld San Diego.
Water Parks, alas, Wild Rivers is closed, so you have Knott's Soak City in Buena Park, Hurricane Harbor (part of Six Flags Magic Mountain), Raging Waters, LEGOLAND Water Park, and Aquatica San Diego (Operated by SeaWorld, but in a separate location)
Regional Amusement Parks. Adventure City in Stanton, Castle Park in Riverside, Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier and Belmont Park in San Diego.
Dinner Shows - both Medieval Times and Pirates Dinner Adventure in Buena Park. (Note the former Movieland Wax Museum has been closed for years, and is becoming the Butterfly Palladium in the near future (Same area as the two dinner theaters, and Knott's SoCal Resort).
Sporting Venues - Angel Stadium of Anaheim, Dodgers Stadium and Petco Park - San Diego (Baseball), Honda Center (Hockey in Anaheim), Stubhub! Center (Soccer), Staples Center (Los Angeles - Basketball and Hockey). LA Coliseum, Rose Bowl and Qualcomm Stadium (Football).
Museums, Discovery Science Center and Bowers Museum in Anaheim/Santa Ana. Exposition Park including the California Science Center (Space Shuttle) in Los Angeles.
