My blonde moment + Question for contact lense wearers?

So I was getting ready for school this morning, and I got my right contact in and went to go for my left. Put it in a few times but it got blinked out. Looked all around, up and down for 30 minutes and couldn't find it. I was so frustrated I decided to give it time and prayed to St. Anthony. (Yes, I actually did pray. St. Anthony helps me alot because I will lose anything and everything) Look around and still can't find it.

Come home - DUH! It's stuck to the mirror. :rolleyes1 I felt like such an idiot. So, my question to you contact lens wearers

- Will my lens be okay? It was dry and wrinkled, it was out for 7-8 hours. I immediately put it in solution and 1 hour later it was normal looking again. I'm letting it soak heavily tonight. I'm assuming that my lens will be okay tomorrow? They're the two-week wear, Acuvue Advance with Hydraclear lenses.

- Any tips on how to put a contact in on the opposite side? I'm a righty so getting the right contact is easy. Getting in the left contact takes a bit more work. Is there anything I can do to help me put the left lens in a little bit easier? I'm still getting used to the "suctioning" thing.

I think it will be okay, I have done thsat before just let is soak in the solution. Now I also have a problem putting in my left contact i usually have to take it out a few times.

Yeah, most of the time if I don't let it suction for like 10 seconds, I'll get an air pocket that hurts to bad. It's soooo frustrating, someone tell me it gets better in time! My parents don't have much patience and get frustrated just watching me so that doesn't help. My dad was like, "Can't you just get Lasik?".

Honestly, I wouldn't rewear that contact. Soo many germs or other things might have gotten on it during the day. I'm no germaphobe but when it comes to your eyes its not something you want to mess around with. I'd suggest just throwing it out and putting in a new one.
As for putting your left one in, don't think about it so hard. If you think about it too much you'll have a harder time doing it. Sounds simple, but that's what my eye doctor told me when I was having issues putting them in at the beginning. Just relax. For some reason, I put my left one in first (I'm a righty too) then my right one. Maybe try switching it up, it could be that you don't like putting the second one in, not that you don't like the left eye? :confused3

It should be fine.
I found contacts sooo frustating at first. On Canada day I was in Ottawa for their celebration on Parliament Hill and my contact was DRIVING me insane. I still don't know what was wrong, I think it was inside out but it felt like I had an eyelash in my eye ALL day and because I kept blinking and rubbing it my eye got irritated. I had to walk all the way back to the university (we stayed there) and take it out. My eye hurt the rest of the day.
These days, not so much trouble. But I drop my contacts a lot when I put them in and they're just reallllly hard to find once you've dropped them.

The contact will probably be fine.
When I first got contacts it would literally take me 30 minutes to put them in. After about a week, it only took a minute or two. It really does get easier with time.

Usually when I do something like that with a contact I'll just toss it.
It'll probably end up irritating you more later.

It probably should be ok. You might want to get a new contact but you shouldn't have to. I've never had problems with putting my left contact in even though I'm right handed.

It might be okay. I had lost mine for like 4 hours one day, and I just had to soak it. Everything was fine.
When I first started I used both hands to put my opposite contact in. After a while I could do it with just one.
