Mon July 4, 2016 Alaskan Cruise From Vancouver

Yes it's Juneau. Sorry, thought I put that in that post. Sometimes I "cut" sentences and move them around to "paste" them elsewhere so that they make more sense. And this time I must've cut the sentence and forgot to paste it back in where I felt it would sound better.:oops::oops:

I'm thinking of joining your FE group as well. I just want to make sure the other list I'm in doesn't get too big.

I was able to take a look at the Juneau excursions and I'm thinking that Whale Watching will not be on my top of my list excursions. I'd really like to do the helicopter tour, but not sure my spouse can get into the helicopter. Also I would like to do the float plane one, so until it's emotionally appropriate to discuss these things I can't really figure it out, but I'm guessing that the whale watching might not be one of the top of the list for me. I may come back and ask if you have any availability, but don't hold anything on my account. Thanks for asking though, I'm sure it will be a great experience. It's just we can Whale Watch in our home town in the spring and while it's never guaranteed, I'd probably rather try to do something where we see glaciers since rain is rare and anything related to snow is crazy unheard of!

Hi, we decided to keep our FE on room 6015, not 6011. Could you change that for me? Thanks. Also, has anyone done the dogsled/glacier helicopter tour in Ketchikan? I am seriously considering it, am trying to decide if it would be ok for our 5 year old to do. Our other 2 kids are 13 and 11. It's a lot of $, but I am feeling guilty about not bringing her on this once in a lifetime experience. Would love some info if anyone has it. Money saving tips would be greatly appreciated too!

Thank you for starting this thread. We would like to join the FE as well.

Is there still room on the list?

Here is the updated FE group as of 10/22/15
If you would like to share favorite characters or color to help with gifts please reply or message me and I can start adding in that info as well.
I am also updating the list in the first post as well.

Hi Everyone,

We are currently doing research to find a hotel to stay at before and after our cruise. We were told by some friends to stay at a hotel near the airport to save money. What is everyone else doing? My concerns are 1. Distance from hotel to dock 2. Can I leave my car at the hotel during our cruise? and 3. Is there public transportation from the hotel to ship?

Any help and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated. :)

Vancouver is a very compact city. Any downtown hotel can get to the cruise terminal with a $10 cab ride. You might want to compare prices for leaving the car at the airport.

We would like to join.
Sent you a PM a few days ago if you want to still join Whale watching in Juneau. If you can't pm you may still have to make 10 comments before you get all your privileges. Not sure if they still require this.
