MK rides with little wait at rope drop?

I have a 9:40 ADR at Kona and MK opens at 9am. What ride, if any, would we be able to ride and make it to the Poly for the ADR?

Anything except SDMT or meet and greet with Anna and Elsa...

By making your ADR at that time, you will be missing out on the shortest waits of the whole day - you may want to consider Kona for lunch unless your set on breakfast. Just a suggestion!

Would Jungle Cruise take too long? Should we head to Fantasyland and ride Pooh or the Mermaid ride instead?

personally I'd skip rope drop if your leaving that fast. You could probably squeeze a ride in but you'd be cutting it close. I'd either change the add time or rope drop another day.

Maybe we can explore the monorail resorts instead. We are spending 2 days in MK so was trying to decide FP. Will do 7DMT, Splash, HM, Buzz, POTC and Jungle for the two days I guess

We walked all the way thru the park to the Haunted Mansion, and were the first guests right behind a Keys to the Kingdom tour... In fact, the HM CMs escorted us thru Liberty Square and right up to the gates.

Haunted Mansion is a good choice. The line at Big Thunder is also short to non-existent first thing in the a.m. Of course, that ride may also be closed for rehab during your visit. Pirates is almost always down first thing in the morning (at least it was last Fall unless they have done some major, magical repairs). You will definitely have to do a lot of fast walking to go from the gate to the back of the park for Big Thunder (and close to it for HM) and then back out through the gate. I tend to agree with the PPs and might consider changing my ADR time.

Jungle Cruise will be a walk-on, too. You can also get to it in a relatively short time, but it's a long ride and exiting the park quickly will be difficult due to people streaming in.

I would suggest going back to Adventureland or Frontierland, the lines seems to be nonexistant in the morning there. You could quickly knock out Splash and BTMRR because they are walk-ons early in the morning and they're so close to each other.

You would save time in walking if you are interested in meeting Tink and Talking Mickey. They are at the entrance. You could meet both and then get back to the Poly.

Is there a specific reason you made 9:40 reservations instead of pre-park reservations?

I think we may do a Poly breakfast around 7:30. Then we have time to eat and get back to MK around rope drop time.

Depending on the ride you could get stuck on it and that will eat into your time and then be late to you ADR, just a thought. But at rope drop most rides are walk on, but then again that depends on the time of year you go and how fast you can walk to your first ride.

Sounds stressful to me. I'd move it earlier or later or just head right to breakfast and then park after.

It will likely take you 10-20 min. to get to the Kona from the MK gates.
The monorail will be the most direct, as it let's you out steps from the Kona.
(But, often in the mornings, the monorails will "test the brakes" and/or "stop to let traffic clear."

The shuttle boat stops first at GF (unload/load other guests,) then motor over to the Poly, but the boat dock is a long walk from the Kona.

And, you want to be 5-15 min. early for your ADR.

So...
