Memory Maker and Ride Photos

On the Disney Map I printed from their site for Studios, I see a "Nikon picture spot" icon...what is this?
thanks for your other replies, too!:earsboy:
It's a place they suggest you stand to get a good picture of the various iconic landmarks. It has nothiong to do with MemoryMaker/PhotoPass.

I was just there in June and all the rides with photos had mickey heads to associate your MB with your picture. I don't trust the RFID technology enough to get the picture right each time so I always scanned my band to be safe.

Because if you are using your RFID in a card or a band its linked to your directly. Its not like getting a photopass card anymore with numbers on it that you can combine later. Does anyone know if this is correct? There used to be a Facebook page with people sharing accounts. I THINK the RFID would now prevent people from adding other accounts to do this.

I never did a MM share with strangers/FB friends, but based on sharing it with my own extended family, I think it can still be done. You have to be "Friends and Family" on MDE and set permissions properly, which some people may not want to do with strangers, because I'm not sure how much access they then have to see your hotel, dining and FP reservations. However, if it is possible to parse out your permissions or people are just willing to let others see their info, you can buy one MM for a group of people and all pictures of everyone will show up in one place available for download. The people sharing would then have to put the photos on individual CDs or a flash drive or something to get everyone their copies.

I wondered how they would do it. My friend's decided to do it a few years ago and lost all their photos to someone who took the money and never made the disc. I didn't feel comfortable with it, and just prepaid ours. Had the Christmas photo shoot at GF and everything. I thought it was well worth it with no hassle.

Is there a Mickey head for me to scan my magic band on before I get on a ride? The majority of rides we will have FP+ for but wondering if we scan when entering the ride to ensure our photos load?

No, nothing before. I had a memory maker last year, and a magic band, and every one of my photos were in my account and I didn't have to scan my band at all on any of the rides. If you feel like you don't trust it, when you get off the ride, you look for your photo and then, you can scan your band to make sure it's in there. The only one that you can't scan after, is 7DMT.
