HS PPO ADR: Hollywood & Vine or Trattoria Al Forno

I am only planning 1 half day at HS with my almsot 3 year old. We usually do PPO breakfasts. Would I be smarter to go to Trattoria for the food and to have a date with Flynn Rider (hearts from both me and my daughter) or Hollywood & Vine to nix having to wait in lines to meet Disney Jr characters. We will be there in September and it is just the two of us. I do realize buffets are not as easy as sit down restaurants. I am not quite sure which seems more important?

I can only speak from experience, but H&V was one of the worst places we've ever eaten at in Disney. Food, service, disorganization, even the character interaction. I can only hope they've improved since.

We also didn't like H&V - was the worst meal of that trip.

I haven't done H&V for breakfast but I've done it twice for lunch and we loved it both times.
That said, we will be doing a 7:30a Trattoria to get some Flynn in on our DHS day instead. Disney Jr characters have always had very low waits for us in September so I wouldn't worry about that.

We love H & V for breakfast! My daughter loves the characters, who are always amazing! Lots of hugs and a few minutes at each table! Its one of the larger breakfast buffets on property too, so if you dont like some things, there are plenty of more options! We also only do 1/2 day. With so many things closed, its really a 4 hour park if you have fastpasses to the most poplar rides and attractions.

Trattoria al Forno would be an easy decision for us.
