Ok, lets say you're looking at a job at a certain salary. How could you estimate how much your take home pay would be? Of course, deduct the social security taxes (about 7%, would have to look it up, just a guess right now), then federal, state, local income taxes. Of course, all the voluntary deductions, like insurance, etc., vary from job to job.
