How much is your 2023 Disney vacation going to cost, or how much are you budgeting for it?

For my upcoming trip (2 adults traveling from May 23-27):

Room/ticket package (2 nights at POFQ with 2 day non-hopper tickets): $1244.52 (booked with Spring/Summer discount)
2 additional nights at Poly through DVC rental: $912
Outbound Flight through Spirit: $155.78
Inbound Flight through Frontier: $165.96
Additional 1 day tickets outside of package (for the Poly dates because these are before my package tickets start): $338.68 (this may end up being less because I am eligible for a TA discounted ticket, but working out some issues with that at the moment)
Sunshine Flyer round trip (booked with Black Friday discount): $49.92

Total so far (not including food and souvenir budget): $2866.86

Dang, I feel pretty cheap.

7 nights at Bonnet Creek-$750
4 FL select weekday APs-$1,600. (and with the Disney gift cards from Target, this includes all taxes)
Food-groceries-$200
eating out-$400. (so far we have spent about $200 and we leave Sun so prob won't his $400, but we will see.)
Gas in the Camry Hybrid-$100

$3k and we can come back with the passes for another stay or two.

We are planning on attending all the festivals this year- so FOUR trips.

We are APs and DVC members. Flights and food are our main expenses.

JANUARY-flights $165pp, Gran Destino Tower CL AP discount 4 nights - $1250; Food Budget -$1000 - tickets-0

MAY-flights tbd- room Bolder Ridge 2 bedroom-DVC 5 nights; Food Budget-$1500

OCTOBER-flights tbd-AKV Jambo value studio x two for 5 nights-Food Budget - $1500

December-flights tbd-AKV Jambo studio five nights-Food Budget - $1500

I would say $1600 for flights, and $5500 for food for the four trips 19 nights. AND we never use our whole food budget because we share some entrees but we buy a couple of souvenirs here or there.

My friend and I are taking our daughters (age 11 and BFFs) on a girls only trip in June.

6 nights at POP, 5 day base park tix, memory maker $3940
RT airfare from Chicago $1752 for 4 tix (haven't purchased yet, hope to get it down to $1400-$1500)
Orlando RT ground transfer $275
Lunch, dinner, and snacks each day $1350 (not including special parties, which we may/may not do) Breakfast will be eaten in-room from grocery stop
Grocery Stop -$50
Genie+ $600 (budgeting assuming $30 per person per day, hopefully will be $15-20 but we'll see)

Total $7315 to $7967 depending on airfare and Genie+ prices, not including souvenirs, parties, or ILL purchases.

Ooo how fun. I'm DVC and AP, flying in. I use ~$12 per point for my current "lifetime point value" for my DVC points. One trip left this year, March 2023 for five nights and four, maybe five, park days.

Lodging: BLT studio @ $1250 equivalent
Airfare: used points, ~$20 for taxes and fees
AP+photopass so no tickets! I think this year my AP works out to ~$100 per park day, but last year I averaged something like $45 per park day. I also really get my money's worth with photopass!
Genie+: will probably be purchasing at least twice, estimating $29/day + tax
Food: TBD but I usually spend ~$100-150 per day on myself, so $750 on the high end.
Souvenirs: I typically spend ~$400-500 each trip because I will go home with a new bag, special edition Pandora charm, spirt jersey, etc.
Ubers to and from the airport: ~$70 with tip, may be more because of Spring Break!

Total: ~$3050 just for myself, or a measly $1400 in comparison if disregarding DVC and AP since they are a sunk cost.

This is the first time we’ve ever done last minute. Last week DH surprised me with D23 TRON preview tickets. We have always planned at least 6 months ahead, usually 9-12 months.

This trip is just the 2 of us for 3 days, a spontaneous spring break trip coming in at $370 per person/day.

$22 Sat March 18 6am (EWR-MCO roundtrip) Tues March 21 5am (using 37k points rough value $550)

$745 TRON/MK tickets ($114) and 2 day Park Tickets (HS 3/19, EP 3/20 ($631)

$500 OKW DVC 2 night rental 3/18-3/20 (doing EP EEH then heading over to MCO)

$220 Sixt car rental (hoping this goes well at MCO’s new Terminal C)

$135 Buena Vista EVC for DH 3 day rental

$600 Food/souvenir budget (1 ADR at GF Cafe, food booths at EP F&G, otherwise QS)

$2,222 Grand total
————————-

Our Dec ‘23 trip (4ppl x 6 days) so far is coming in around $300pp/day.

October 23, 4 nights AKL DVC Studio (points rented), 3-day FL Res passes, food, pet sitting, souveniers, trip insurance: $5,559.09 est

We own DVC. Our next trip will be 2 adults, 2 kids. We are celebrating DD's sweet 16:

2BR at BLT for a week = $2604 in maintenance fees
Airfare = approx $2000
Food = approx $2800 (includes groceries and counter service/table service)
Transportation from/to airport = $170
Lyft/Minnie Vans throughout the trip = approx $350
Park tickets = $3019
Total= $10,943

For two people:
  • 5 Nights at All Star Movies - Room Total: $878.49
  • 3 Day-1 Park Ticket = $420 x 2 = $842.06 (no G+ due to DAS)
  • MNSSHP (10/23) = $175 x 2 = $350 (probably will go up…)
  • ORD -> MCO = $448 x 2 = $896 total * (covered by reward miles)
  • Food/souvenirs - non-drinkers who split meals: $700ish (only 2 TS planned)
  • Ubers - four rides or so: $100
Total Estimated: $3766.55 *
MINUS reward airfare = $2870.55
MINUS cash back / churning rewards totaling $1,100 = $1770.55

Per Person: $885
PP Per Day: $177ish

We have one potential trip in September.
Lakeview studio at the Polynesian for 5 nights. I value my points at $19/point, $1900.
Tickets. Not sure, but I think 4 day single park + HS after hours ~$1250 for 2. Hoping they do after hours in September.
Food. $1000
Airfare. $22 (hoping to fly on points)
Souvenirs. $250
Transport to and from airport. $100

$4522 total, with $2622 being out of pocket.

I have a 4 day weekend 3/17-20, last tuesday my girlfriend requested and got off the same days. On Friday I checked Allegiant out of my local airport on a whim while deciding what to do with this random time off together (was think of hitting DC), the flight times were too good to pass up. We depart 6am and arrive at Sanford at 8:30, depart Sanford at 8:20pm and arrive locally 10:50. We live 15 minutes from the airport. I shot her an image of the flights and she was in, this gives us 3 days at parks and a day to unwind at DS.

Flights ended up costing $850, this includes one checked bag and upgrades to legroom+ on both flights. This is more than I normally spend but with the short window not terrible. The legroom and checked bag added $200 but you need a bag, and with those early/late flight times the added legroom will make trying to take a nap more feasible.

3 Day base tickets for 2 from UT $ 902

Currently have POFQ booked for $1008, I debated booking POP preferred for 150 less but think I'm going to stay with this.

So all together it's looking like $2760 for a whirlwind, quickly planned 3 night/3park day trip before food/souvenirs. My girlfriend bought the flights and I'll get the rest. Last week I zero thought of hitting WDW but here we are.

DVC rental 8 night studio Boulder ridge $2800
Flights $2400
7 day park hopper x2 $1280
We have about $1600 saved on our work recognition cards, so that will be for dining nothing out of pocket.
Trip insurance $380
So $6860 currently,

Ok I'm in (I love 'what's your budget' threads) Spring break trip with family-10 days
Airfare- 11.60 (used points)
Dis Springs Hotel $0 (used points)
transport to/from MCO, $37 on Mears
7 day park tix, $0 (gift from fam)
food cost ,plan to cap at $500 total -using discounted dis gc that I've had for at least 5 years,so hard to gauge actual amount spent since I'll be using this gc for all food.
SO total for me alone I guess is right around $540.... oop on this trip is more like $40.
***For my fam, I'm staying with them in room, so their cost is airfare for 3 on points = $36
Room=$0
park tix= around 3k (that's my guess)
transport around $60 (mears)
and their food costs will be ???
SO not 100% sure of our totals, but it's a trip on the 'cheap' ( disney math of course):cool1:

3/23 - 4/1
5 nights at beach club in studio, and 4 nights at Poly in studio - $4700

4 adult and 1 child (3 kids, but 2 over 9) 8 day park hoppers = $3200

Airfare x5 R/T from Milwaukee to Orlando = $3000

anticipated budget for Genie + and IA$ = $1300

Souvenir budget = $200

Food budget - $150 Amazon delivery, $3900 for quick service lunch, and sit down meal nightly.

Total: $16,450.00 for family of 5, 9 nights, 8 days hotel, food, and 8 day park hoppers.

yuck!

April 25 - May 6, 2023 for 2 adults
Pop Century Resort Standard Room + 10 Day Park Hopper Plus + Photo Pass = $4,148.32
Flights - $783.52
Transport to/from hotel to airport - $48.00
TOTAL $4,979.84

We do not have a set budget for food/souvenirs. Also, due to the amount of park days, I do not anticipate us being G+ or LL.

Our current trip plans - Sept 8-24 (16 nights) at the Dolphin. We are a party of 6. Hubby and I plus 4 children ages 7,5,2,4mo.

Room: Dolphin standard room with AP discount (code QWH), $4338.
Flights: Southwest, nonstop from Indianapolis. I paid around 22,000 points per person for 3 people. Hubby and I both have companion pass for our older kids. I monitor the flight prices every day and change them if they go down in price.
Dining: We budget around $400 per day for a sit down lunch and dinner plus snacks. We will do a few signature meals and character meals in that. We typically get a cocktail with lunch and sometimes a bottle of wine with dinner. Beers around the world at Epcot. Cocktails while the kids do the Wilderness Explorer books at AK. Drinks at the pool. We have done 30-40 days at Disney per year for the last few years and with inflation, that is what we have averaged. We typically just have a quick breakfast in the room or while waiting on transportation.
Extras: $25 per day. That averages out but is probably less. Our kids each get to pick "one thing" per trip and we use that as a bargaining chip if they start to misbehave.
Airport Parking: $9 per day
Transportation to resort: UberXL. Can range but usually around $120 round trip. We bring all of our own car seats.
AP's, $1499 each. My 7 yo has one currently so we need 3. Praying they sell them before our trip or we will have to figure out the best way to piece together tickets. Shouldn't have let ours expire :(

Room: $4338
Flights: $0 ($990 value in points, bags free)
Dining: $400x16 = $6400
Extras: $25x16 = $400
Parking: $9x16 = $144
Uber: $120
AP's: $4500 + tax so probably $5000ish

Total: $11400 + $5000 for passes = $16400 for a family of 6.

$1k ish per day, so about $167 PP per day. Honestly not that bad. A 16 day vacation is luxurious!

Here is mine so far - May 6-13, family of 4 (me, wife, DD 4, DD 6) It will be the first time for them but, not me.

Room: Saratoga Springs Standard Studio. Rented DVC points, $1,250
Flights: Frontier from Trenton, NJ. Purchased the tickets at the airport to save the online fees. Will try and do it with just the personal item bags and pack around 4 days worth of clothes and use laundry at the resort mid-week, $128
Rental Car: Avis, Toyota Camry. Rented through my part-time jobs discount program, $278
Dining: Plan on eating in the room for breakfast and lunch taking mid-day breaks. Plan on only eating counter service once a day and possibly splitting the food and, maybe 1 sit-down meal. My daughters don't eat a lot so the cost of sit-down/character dining is not worth it for us. I have $1,000 dollars in gift cards from a wellness program at full-time job so hopefully cost will be $0
Extras: $25 per day. That averages out but is probably less. Our kids each get to pick "one thing" per trip and we use that as a bargaining chip if they start to misbehave.
Airport Transportation: Family will drop off and pick us up at home airport, $0
Themepark Tickets: Purchased from attractiontickets, UK site but, no problem with linking them in my Disney App already. 7 day park hopper with waterparks and more, includes memory maker and magicbands. Bought in November during their holiday sale, $2397

Room: $1,250
Flights: $128
Rental Car: $278
Dining: $0 (Using gift cards I got for free)
Tickets: $2397

Total: $4053 so far

Extras: $150
Total: $2365

August 24-29th

This originally started as me taking my nephew (5yo) as a birthday/Christmas trip. My sister is a single mom and can't really afford to take him, but I can and wanted him to experience it. Then, my mom decided to join. Then, my sister decided to join (my nephews mom) since she'd only have to pay for herself. Then, my brother and his wife decided to join lol. My boyfriend MIGHT join, but we aren't sure yet. For now, I'm not including him in my costs. Below is MY portion (my nephew and me only). If my BF joins, this will change and room configurations will as well.

Vacation Package - $1348.78 (4 day base tickets for 1 adult and 1 child at POP Century)
Food - Estimating $600 per day (my nephew won't eat a lot and his mom/my mom will prob pay for some of his)
Flights - Estimating $800 for two tickets plus bags and transpo
Extras - $400 (I might try to do Genie+ for the whole family one day, plus souvenirs or if we decide on any extras)
Total: $3148.70 (However, we will have a dining promo card on this trip that I will keep half of, so -125).

If my boyfriend joins, I'll probably up this by about $2,500 (his tickets, flight, food, cost of room)

Oh boy!
