How is the quality of Ohana's food and experience these days? It was always a favorite pre-covid but I've heard mixed reports since then. What's everyone's thoughts as to the quality now?

We had dinner there two weeks ago. It was our first time in almost 10 years as our DD19 became adult priced.

We finally headed back to squeeze it in before DS9 turns adult priced. I always loved it in the past and this visit was no different. I purposely had a light breakfast and skipped lunch so I was ready for the big meal. We skipped the shrimp since I would be the only one eating it.

Everything was good. I preferred the old chicken but DH liked the new one. Our steak was very well done, which I was ok with. There were two pieces that were still a little pink and those were much better. If I had room I would have asked for a less done batch.

Our cups were constantly being filled and they did ask if we wanted any refills. We tried to have our kids try new things, but ended chicken nuggets and fries from them as only DD6 like the wings.

My only complaint was that we got one plate of dessert so my kids stole most of the ice cream. The bread pudding just isn’t the same without the ice cream. Next time I will ask for just ice cream for the kids.

I do think we will return if staying at the Poly or in MK area.

Went the first week of February. We were a group of four, three adults and one child. Except for the fact that the protein was served in bowls instead of off a skewer, it's back to its previous experience. The fact that you're not waiting on skewers noticeably made the meal faster. The food quality was good. We did specify that we like out beef red, and the waiter provided us a bowl of meat that was close to medium. The chicken was a little dry. We love the pot stickers, and went through several bowls of them (I'd say about 25 pot stickers in total). Our waiter, noting how quickly we went through dessert asked if he could bring us out another one, or one for each of us if we'd like. We went through a second, and he asked again. By that point, we were done.

My wife and son went the last week of March (I skipped due to a stomach bug and knew I wouldn't get my money's worth) and said that it was ok, but not as good as it was in the past. Said steak was overcook and did not care for the chicken.

It pains me to write this as we have always been team Ohana.

We did brunch a month ago and it was really fun and delicious. I am hoping we get to go for dinner next year!

Just had the unfortunate pleasure of eating at Ohana yesterday. Food was terrible and left me feeling the only reason this place stays open is because you can’t see Lilo or Stitch consistently anywhere else. Felt gimmicky to me. The characters were very good but I will never eat there again is how bad the food was and I wanted to love Ohana but could not.

We ate there late 2022 and I immediately was sick. The steak was tough and chewy and the chicken inedible. Never again. Sorry to report that.

Our group of 7 ate dinner there in May of this year. We were excited to go but the food was not good. Even the big eating 20-something men in the crowd who enjoy nearly everything said it was just meh. I would not spend the money again.

This is probably the most inconsistent restaurant that we've ever eaten at.
We went in 2022 and was served char burned steak. They were essentially black cubes, yet somehow they thought it would be ok to serve it to us. Chicken was also dry and the noodles had no flavor.
We gave it a shot again in December and it was amazing. The meat was cooked perfectly, the server was attentive and we never felt rushed, and quickly brought any refills that we requested.
Having a great experience, we went again last month in June and was disappointed yet again. Burned steak and dry chicken. The food also came out nearly on top of each other. We got new meat, but as soon as he put it down, he asked if we were ready for dessert.
Maybe Ohana is only good in odd years, and bad in even years. That's really the only way I can explain it!

We were there in April and the food and service were top notch! The reviews here are all over the place, but we have been going for many years and have always loved it and had wonderful experiences. It's always packed so that tells me a lot. Our tastes and expectations are all different, time of evening, etc. are different so there are many reasons why reviews are different. The same thing happens in our home area for our restaurants.

This thread comes up every couple of months. Always the same. It was amazing, it was trash, we were rushed, we weren't rushed I loved it, I hated it. The characters were terrible, the characters were awesome.

If you want to try Ohana and are comfortable with the price. Go for it. Have a wonderful time and remember. You are at a Disney restaurant.

Pretty much exactly this. We have been two times. The first time it was amazing, the second time it was meh. The meh experience hasn't scared us off completely so much as there are just a lot of other places that we want to try. We have now dined at a few of the Grand Floridian restaurants instead when we want something on the monorail. Will we go back one day? Probably. And we will go back hoping for the best but with appropriate expectations. But as the quoted post said, if you want to try it go for it, maybe you get lucky and it's great and even if not it's fun to try at least once like most Disney restaurants.

Reading these posts I can safely say 'Ohana hasn't changed. It always gets a mix of positive and negative reviews. The only thing that is consistent is the excellent dessert and the ever increasing price.

We were there mid-June and it was great. Steak was a nice medium rare. Refills on everything. Most importantly, service was outstanding. Forgot our servers name - younger guy with a shaved/bald head. He was awesome. Not rushed at all, and kept asking what we needed. Glad we went back after a disappointing experience in 2022.

Anyone been lately and have they allowed chicken tenders for fries. No little kids with us

So I ate here last night:

Service was very good. Primary server plus the people that helped were all on top of things and my meal was paced very well. No rush. No fuss.
The singer last night was new to me. She was the best I’ve had while dining there.
Overall food quality was pretty good. Chicken, shrimp, noodle/wing/veg was very good. Steak was not a good cut. Probably just got the short end of the stick.

Was it worth 75$ with tip? No. Did I enjoy it. Sure did.
