Saturday 28th May 2011 Continued
After we had checked out of the Wilderness Lodge we headed to Downtown Disney to drop our bags at the Virgin Atlantic desk and enjoy our last few hours picking up some gifts for back home
It was another really hot day so we decided to grab a patio table at
Paradiso 37 and get a cold drink, Coke for DH and a very, very cold Bud for me
Paradiso 37 Beer
We still had two counter service credits to use so decided not to eat in here but the food that was coming out of the kitchen looked delicious and the menu really appealed to me
Well certainly try and eat here on a future trip, the outdoor seating area is really nice, with great views across the water
After our refreshing pit stop we headed in the direction of one of our favourite places that we hadnt managed to find time to visit so far on this trip;
Wolfgang Puck Express
We always go to the Market Place location and it wasnt at all busy when we arrived
For those of you that havent eaten here before, you place your order at the counter, take a numbered marker with you to place on you table and when your food is ready a server brings it out to you.
If you choose fountain drinks you are given a cup to go and help yourself with and the servers are always stopping by to see if you need a free refill
This really is a great place to use your counter service credits
After we had placed our order we chose a table outside (it was nicely shaded) and as soon as we were seated our server brought out our silver ware and explained that as I had ordered a frozen dessert she wouldnt bring this out with the rest of our food and that I should just let her know when I was ready for it
We both decided on Pizza
Margherita Pizza - Roma Tomato With Fresh Basil
This was DHs choice and he loved it
The pizzas are cooked in a wood fired oven and the base was just perfect.
DH actually enjoyed this pizza more than the one he ordered at Via Napoli but this has more to do with the fact that he ordered badly at VN than it being poor quality
Anyway he munched his way through it in no time
I went for an old favourite
Four Cheese Pizza
Pesto Sauce, Tomato, Mozzarella, Fontina, Parmesan and Creamy Goat Cheese
Oh this is such a great pizza, the tomato sauce and pesto compliment the cheese perfectly.
I love goats cheese and this particular cheese was full of flavour
10 out of 10 from both of us
Next up dessert
New York Cheesecake
This was a big hit with DH; I tried a little bit and it really was a superb cheesecake
Once I had finished my pizza our wonderful server stopped by to ask if I was ready for my dessert and what would I like as a topping
Frozen Vanilla Yogurt
The sprinkles just seemed appropriate for my last Disney treat of the vacation
So thats it folks
Hope you have enjoyed my little reviews and thanks so much for reading along
Unfortunately I dont have a Margarita in my hand right now but I will raise my coffee in the air and say a very British
Cheers from London
Take Care
