Google Satellite Map

Ok I know this isn't directly related to Disney, but has anyone looked at the satellite view of Disney using Google maps? I've been aware of the satellite maps for a while but it just recently occured to me to do this. I knew Disney had a lot of room left to make new parks and expand existing ones at DW, but I'm still impressed at how much land they have now that I can look at it. Of course now I'll be spending entirely too much time scrolling around the World.

Do any of the resorts or parks look different than you thought from above? Have any new impressions of their design? Am I just geeking out?

I use Google Earth more than Mapquest. It's not the best for especially current conditions, like new subdivisions. In fact, GE does not show the Windsor Hills condos in its entirety, although it's clear that construction is underway.

You'll also notice that certain metropolitan areas have much clearer definition at lower altitudes than others. Satellite images of potential t-e-r-r-o-r-ist targets are more detailed. Farmland and smaller cities will not be nearly as detailed as say, New York City or Chicago. Rural areas are quite fuzzy. You'll see lots of detail for WDW, DL, tourist areas and almost any military base (even if it's in the middle of nowhere.) because of thier potential for civilian congestion and military intelligence.

I like just wandering around the country using GE. It's a fun pastime for me and my kids.
