Following the trend of having a place for pictures only for all our different picture threads, here it is (finally)

Food "Porn" Pictures!!

The food picture thread (part 3) has gotten incredibly long, and we wanted to preserve the pictures before this one too needs to be closed later on this summer.

As with our other 'gallery' threads, mods will periodically go through and copy posts with pictures up to this thread.

Though this thread is closed, you should still be able to subscribe by clicking Thread Tools and selecting subscribe. I believe that you'll get an email notification when a post is copied up here.

Finally, because the thread is so long, we will be moving posts up here slowly. Currently we've got photos from pages 1-40 on the original thread copied up here.

Sea and Land - Grilled shrimp with cucumber salad and barbecued beef skewer with creamy Polenta.

Blackened Catfish - Served over pepperjack cheese grits, topped with a smoked tomato compote, and drizzled with a balsamic glaze.

Grilled Mahi Mahi - served with cashew-jasmine rice topped with a spicy pineapple chutney finished with a malibu rum beurre blanc.

Pacific Wharf Cafe:
On the top, Salinas Turkey Sandwich - Slices of smoked turkey, piled high with tomato, lettuce, Swiss cheese, and tangy mayonnaise, on freshly baked bread. This was a pretty plain turkey sandwich.
On the bottom, Sonoma Chicken & Apple Salad - Tender pieces of chicken breast with tart, crisp apples, celery, and walnuts in a creamy honey dressing with a dash of lemon, served atop a bed of garden fresh lettuce. DM and I this...we are huge chicken salad fans, though. The bread is baked there fresh in the Boudin factory - yummy!

Mickey Pumpkin cookie...we were disappointed b/c we thought this was going to be a pumpkin cookie - nope, just a sugar cookie.

We were at The Plaza eating supper, and the waitress came over and gave our party of seven three 'Un-Birthday' cakes......we made a valiant effort but, we were all too full!
