Expired discount question

I feel like I should know this, but I don't. I already booked under a promotion that has now expired. I am now really wanting to make it a split stay but don't know if I can "pull forward" the terms of the promotion I booked under to cover the new resort that I would add or do I need to wait with crossed fingers for another discount to come out that would cover the part of my original dates that would be at the 2d resort? TIA!

Splitting your stay would result in 2 separate reservations so you could not apply any discount offer to the new reservation if it is no longer available to be booked (because it expired).

That's what I was worried about....Thanks...here's to waitng and hoping...

I don't know if this helps you, but we booked with a pin code that has since expired. I called 2 days ago and changed our resort. The Cm said he had to get a guest service specialist on to change it since it was expired, but it was done with NO hassle or issues at all. They were very kind about it as usual. Id call and try. I did and it was no big deal.

princessdi, what you're describing is making a change to an existing reservation using the same promotion your originally used even though it's now expired. Yes, this is supposed to be allowed and I'm glad to hear you got a CM who knew what to do in order to make it happen.

karlzmom is trying to not only make a change to an existing reservation (which is possible) but also create a new reservation (the second part of the split stay). The new reservation can not be made using the expired promotion. Vicki's right.

Yes it is absolutely correct that you cannot apply to promotion to the split stay now. When I originally booked YC back in February, I asked the CM if I decided to change anything such as the number of days of my reservation if it would affect my discount, or if I wanted to switch from room only to a package, and I was told I would still have my discount. I asked about split stays and if I decided to do it if I could have it after the pin expired and I was told "no" because it is a separate reservation. You even need to put down 2 deposits for a split stay. good luck with hoping for another discount! pixiedust:
