Escape From Home to Dinosaurs, Wizards, and Alarm Clocks - A March 2021 Trip Report (**Completed 3/27/23**)

You`ve managed to make the desserts at Toothsome look appealing!!! And yes, that picture of the boys is wonderful, their faces say it all.....lol......gorgeous!!

They were really good. I know the food has been hit or miss there and we've never even tried it, but these were really good and very large!!

Day 6 Part 2 - Flying Home from Tampa Bay

We finished up our shakes at about 11:45 and headed over to do some last minute shopping at the Universal Studios Store.

I found a hat that I wear all the time at home. It is just one that is very comfortable and fits perfectly.

The boys had some souvenir money burning a hole in their pocket and so they finally settled on these Spiderman themed toys.

After a little shopping we were at the bus stop by 12:15 to head back to Cabana Bay.

We didn’t wait more than a minute or so until we had a bus and were back at Cabana Bay by 12:20 and heading to the car. As you recall we had flown into Tampa Bay on this trip because flights were about $200 per person cheaper, so we had a drive to make and as long as it took us on the day we got here we wanted to leave plenty of time.

As you would expect the drive was the exact opposite today…smooth sailing! So, we wound up at the rental car return really early. We finally went in to check in for our flights at about 3:15 for a 6:40 flight. We had gotten the boys their own rolling suitcases before this trip. They enjoyed having those!

Those milkshakes were finally wearing off, so we went to grab something to eat before security because the restaurants were better prior to security. Well, what I meant to say was Chick Fil A was pre-security and that is what April and I wanted!

April, Brooks, and I ordered some dinner from Chick-Fil-A, but Braxton wanted a burger from Wendy’s, so we split up and grabbed some food and enjoyed a bite to eat. After eating we headed over to the tram to our gate area.

The rest of the night was pretty uneventful. We boarded at about 5:50, which was a little early and as we were getting onboard the pilot told us he was trying to get off the ground before a storm moved in. The storm clouds treated us to this great sunset though.

The flight was easy, and we arrived in Dallas at about 8:05.

We were all exhausted by the time we got to the hotel for the night. I did make sure our car was still there, thank goodness it was, and then I ran down to grab us a bite to eat before we all headed to bed. I think we were all asleep by 10:00. We got up the next morning and headed home.

Overall, the boys loved their first trip to Universal and we can’t wait to go back again!​
