A 14 night Disney vacation with Deluxe Dining Plan!

I have been reading the dining reviews on here for a very long time now, so I figured it was my turn to share some reviews with everyone else.

I really enjoy reading all the reviews on here and want to thank everyone who has posted them. All the great pics helped us survive until we could actually sink our teeth into the real thing! So, thanks again everyone,:thanks: and I hope that our review is as helpful to the addicts on here, as the other reviews have been for us.

This will be a first for me, so hang on... it could be a bumpy ride!:3dglasses

Allow me to introduce the gang to you.

Me.... :stitch2: Aaron, The Dad, age 35
Been to WDW many times beginning at age 5 in 1978. I am anything but a picky eater, however I am pretty picky about a clean eating environment and good friendly service. I absolutely love cooking and enjoy trying anything new or something old in a new creative way!

DW... pooh: Mary, Otherwise known on the boards as "Scuba Princess", age 26
Has been to WDW almost every year but only started to adventure outside Magic Kingdom since we were married there in 2004. Never been a real adventurous eater, but tried many new things on this adventure.

DD.... :earsgirl: Whom we will call "JoJo", Otherwise known on the boards as "Minnie Squeaks", age 15
Has been to WDW 5 times. I cannot tell you how excited she was leading up to this vacation, we sat together many a late evening looking at wonderful food porn and menus planning out where we were going to indulge.

Our Vacation Started on September 16th, 2008 and we continuously had wonderful food from the moment we arrived until the moment we left on September 30th!

Here is a list of the locations that will be in the review, all will have pictures for all courses! I will try and get the first one posted within the next couple days, as soon as I have all the pics ready.

Oh, this sounds like fun! Many of my favourites and some I want to try next time - like Jiko!
Can't wait! :goodvibes

I'm ready, let's roll!

Question for anyone: How do you do the DxDP for 14 days? I thought it had a maximum length for 10 days. Do you split it up into two parts? What's the best/only way?

Thanks to everyone for singing on so far!!

I hope that you all enjoy!!

I have been looking forward to doing this review, and I must say that it is really a family effort. Every time we ate a meal, if I forgot to get out the camera one of the ladies would yell at me and say "what are you doing... put that fork down" LOL:rotfl2:

They were such good sports and we all really enjoyed preparing for this!

I kept receipt for all the meals so I will be including prices for everyone elses benefit as we had no out of pocket except for gratuity since we were on the dining plan.

OK.. Here We Go!!!

Day one was just perfect, everything went totally smooth... drive, flight, Magical Express, Check In..... I mean everything went great!

We left home at 3:30am and found ourselves checked in and on the bus from the resort to Downtown Disney by 12pm!

We had Lunch reservations for 2:30pm but were very hungry by this time because we hadn't had found time for breakfast. It was 12:30pm so we went and asked if there was any walk up availability. We were told yes and it would be about 15 minutes. Well it only took about 5 minutes and we were seated!

Before I go any further let me say that I have seen some awful reviews of this place on here before....
Our experience was not at all awful! It was in fact fantastic!

To put a big rumor to rest, yes there is limited items that you can get for desert without sharing, but there are like 5 choices and all are very good portions and a good selection as you will see below. We were each allowed to get our own desert on the dining plan and our waitress was very tactful and polite in showing us what was available.

This is definitely one of those restaurants you do not go to if you are looking for a nice quiet relaxed meal, but WoW... look at the outside of the building it screams loud, so I would think that people would know ahead of time that it WILL be loud on the inside! This is more than just a meal but a place for an experience.

Our waitress was Jessica and she was wonderful! Our orders and our food all came with great timing, it was the right temperature, and our drinks were never empty!

Service Wonderful, couldn't have been any better, manager even made rounds to say hi!

Atmosphere Fun, busy and entertaining, but very loud, great for an adventurous crowd, and movie lovers!

Food Not one single complaint, the portions were good(large), temperature was right, the timing was good, and the taste was great! The salmon had great flavor and was a big portion, The fajitas were sizzling and delicious, and the ribs were tender and meaty!

The service here was very very good!! We even left a note for the waitress to tell her how wonderful a job she had done and to thank her for starting our vacation off on a magical beginning!

So overall I would definately suggest this restaurant and we will most certainly return. The price here has also been a complaint that I have read about but it is actually very competitive with all disney dining locations which you can note as the reviews progress.

Wow! I can't wait to read all of the review, 14 days of Disney dining!!! We ate here in June and I enjoyed it too! It was a little loud for some of the people in our group.

Wow, at first glance I thought that the three of you were just a few friends taking a vacation together. What a great family!

I'm glad to see the positive review of Planet Hollywood. Of course I'm a bit of a movie nut and would go there regardless of how many bad reviews it has!

Can't wait for the rest...:thumbsup2

I am soooooo here. Love the foodie family. One of the great reasons to go to the world. Can't to keep hearing about it.
