I am about a week behind on the thread, sorry for the delayed responses and welcomes.
Pack light, and plan to do laundry regularly. If you have just a couple of outfits for each of you, that will cut down on the amount of luggage that you need to worry about. The washers and dryers in the laundry room at the villas are free, detergent is $1.
Thanks for your helpful input.
I'll add your March Spring Break trip to the Be Our Guest list. Beach Club or Beach Club villas?
We (as in DH) decided to stay at WL in December, so please take us off the list for then. However, he’s bribing me with a trip end of January, and once the AP discounts are released YC will probably be the winner for that trip. ;-)
Will do! Come back soon!
Heading back to WDW with the hubby and 3 daughters for a split stay 11/14-11/23. 1 night at YC garden view then over to BC deluxe room for 8 nights. Just made our fast passes this morning!! Could we please be added to the Be Our Guest list? Thanks so much!!
Happy to add you to the list!
Hi - We will be visiting in November. We usually stay at Swan & Dolphin, but are excited to spend a week at Yacht & Beach. We have a toddler who loves macaroni & cheese and hot dogs (both of which we could easily get at S&D). I looked at the children's menu for Hurricane Hannah's - but I don't see either on the menu. Does any one know if there is anywhere at either of these resorts to get either of these items? (Usually we come back to our hotel for a mid-day 2-3 hr nap and then end up eating dinner at the resort before going back to the parks). This mama says Thank you SO much!
I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.
Are you staying at the Beach Club or Yacht Club?
I can't really help you with the availability of mac & cheese or hot dogs at the quick serve places at the resort. I'll look around when I am there in October.
Remembering the times when I had a toddler who was a very picky eater (which fortunately, he has outgrown and is now an adventurous eater), here are a couple of survival tips if you need them:
You can request a microwave for your room. If available, it will be provided free of charge. There are also microwaves for guest use in the BC Marketplace and the YC Ale & Compass.
Bring along plastic containers on your trip. When you dine out at one of parks, or as another poster suggested, you get mac & cheese from the BW kiosk, get extra and bring it back to your room for later.
There are cups of mac & cheese that you can purchase at the grocery store before your trip and pack for emergency situations. They are lightweight and easy to prepare- just add water and microwave.
Not sure about the hot dogs. I assume you can purchase a package of franks at the BC Marketplace that you could microwave. Toast the buns using an iron and tin foil.
