Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Narcoosee's in my personal favorite. :) Everything they serve there, rather it's dinner or dessert, is amazing! Plus you can't beat the view! :D

This one is high on the list. A 9:40 Cali Grill is up there too! Just when I think we're narrowing it down, it suddenly expands exponentially!

Can anyone here confirm whether or not the BWI has that CL texting service that I've been reading about at the BC and a couple of other resorts? Trying to decide on an Epcot resort and maybe this can help us break a tie.

I'll let you know in 18 days or sooner if we hear from IPO.

At the risk of sounding like a lush....CL veterans: can I get an alcohol boost before our 3 MK days or will alcohol only be available during the evening app time?

We checked into AKL in April at noon and the CMs brought us a welcome cocktail. DH had a beer and I had a jungle juice concoction that was delicious. Since we were before tea they also sent back a plate of scones!

From my experience with AKL CL you won't have any problem getting alcohol any time! I recommend coconut rum in the jungle juice. It's not available from CL but they sell it downstairs in the market store. :drinking1

I loved the texting service at GF and BC.. I will miss it at Poly this weekend

Maybe you'll be part of a test? I'm personally not going to count on it being at a CL anymore until it's officially announced. Before our next trip, I plan to email with IPO ahead of time and ask them if they'll be offering the service during my stay there. I wonder if you emailed Poly IPO about your upcoming trip if they'd give you any info?

I was so desperate (lol) that I even sent a text to my BC texting thread from a few months ago, and this is the response I got:
"Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is currently not participating in this service. Please contact your resort's concierge for assistance."

Believe me, I tried everything. Finally, I gave up and just altered our plans for the remainder of our trip because I knew I couldn't count on getting that popular 4th FP without the texting service.

Thanks! I'd ask IPO myself except that I haven't booked the room yet (we have time still and I really want to weigh all the options, including this texting service, since we are having trouble deciding where to stay).

Is the texting service for fast pass? I'm out of the loop

Yes, for the 4th FP. At our stay at BC CL during Easter week, we were given a text number at check-in that we could use to ask for a 4th FP, and so on. It totally changed how we toured the parks for the better because we found the texting CM's could get us any FP we asked for, even during a busy Easter holiday. It was amazing. All I did was text what we wanted and they added it to our account. The kids were extremely excited -- we went on Test Track 2 or 3x every time we went to Epcot lol. 7DMT, same thing, 2 or 3x each time we went to MK.

Maybe if we all keep inquiring and giving feedback regarding the service, they'll take note. I'm going to mention it in my feedback for sure.

Oh that does sound nice. Of course you would want that experience again!

Friday: corn dogs, meatballs, and there was initially a 3rd pan that they immediately removed and never put back. We tasted it and to be honest it was horrible tasting (to us). They were triangles with potato and peas inside but something tasted wrong because I've had these before and never thought they were that bad. Meatballs were outstanding. No little signs that night, but the sauce tasted like some sort of light BBQ.

Saturday -July 4. Same food as in previous years. Hot dogs, baked beans, chicken wings, and outstanding salad. They put out a gorgeous fruit basket that was quickly devoured, but I tried to snap a few pics so you could get an idea:

Thank you SO much for sharing all of those pictures!!! I have to ask though, What's the deal with the turkey corn dogs almost every night? That seems to me like it's a kiddie type of food. LOL

Because they are cheap and easy to make!

I'm debating adding the dining plan for the first part of our split stay. We really only eat CL food for breakfast. By the time I pay for all our lunches and dinners, even with my TIW discount, I'd save money. So I'm thinking maybe 4 dinners on the DDP and the other 4 nights cash using TIW. Still crunching the numbers.

ADRs for our 8 nights. What do you guys think of this plan:

Le Cellier - DDP
Ohana - DDP
Teppen edo - DDP
Boathouse - DDP
Rose and crown - TIW
Beaches and cream - TIW
50's prime time - TIW
Be our guest - TIW

This will use all 6 of my table service credits. Then cash for the others. Is this insane? Am I overthinking it??

This sounds awesome! We'll be at BC CL Sept 1st to 15th and can hardly wait! Do you know if this 4th FP needs to be for the same park as the morning? We'll be park hopping and think it would be nice if we could snag a good fp+ in the afternoon park.

Also wondering, does anyone know what the rules are for bringing guests to enjoy the resort for an afternoon? I have local friends who will be joining us for dinner, and we'd like to take the kiddos swimming - but I would feel horrible if we invited them swimming only to find out it isn't allowed.

I know lol. They used to put the corn dogs on the other side separate from the hot appetizers, so I was surprised to see them moved. Last week, they didn't really have a separate kiddie section. Some nights they'd put out PB&J on the other side all alone. My kids really enjoyed the rather large selection of fruit each night and there's always the caramel dip there too!

You can take them to the quiet pool. But they won't be allowed in stormalong bay.

I can't say for sure about the 4th FP being in the same park. My advice is that you email with IPO before your trip to ask if they'll be offering the texting service during your time frame. If so, maybe they can give you details about the service. There hasn't been a whole lot of chatter about the service....so it seems like it's still in testing phases.

That looks like a great plan! You're hitting some of our favorites.

Thanks so much! It helps a lot to know before I get there!

Great idea! Thanks! I'm hoping they offer this - it's the first time we're bringing a device with us - and mostly b/c I've heard about these perks. ;)

Because they are cheap and easy to make!

We always make dinner ADRs so its not that it ultimately matters to us, but I am shocked at what I'm seeing being served at the Polynesian CL. It looks like someone went to Costco's and bought boxes of frozen appetizers and brought them back to the lounge and microwaved them.

Is there even an actual chef there anymore? We haven't been to WDW and Polynesian CL in 5 years, but I really can't believe the difference in the food.

No offense to anyone who may like corn dogs, but all of that reminded me of cheap buffet food.

Is it just me or does anyone else see a huge difference???? I even have pictures of the food that used to be served at the Polynesian CL. And not only just when ChefDick was still there.

It's just a shame.

We choose Polynesian CL mainly for the personalized pre-trip planning, and the lounge and location of the Hawaii building, so at least none of those things have changed! :)

My first poly cl was in 2013 and it hasn't changed much. Our first cl stay was cr atrium in 2011 (pixie dust upgrade). I did notice they had real desserts in mini form like pineapple upside down cake etc. now they just offer mousses and cupcakes for the most part.

I tried Cr,poly,wl, and both gf last year. I felt the quality of offerings were pretty similar but Gf by far has more of everything from breakfast to snacks and appies. I was surprise that wl had so much more than the others too so I rank that 2nd.

Hands down though poly has the best location and view combo of them all. You can access the lounge from the pool, beach or room pretty quickly. The view of the lagoon is amazing. The size of the lounge is nice with a 2nd floor option. I like cr view too but an elevator ride 12 floors down and a walk out does not make for a convenient access from the pool.

Poly is my fav but I do enjoy the others. I prefer rotating and enjoying what is best about each resort.

Something we like to do at poly is pick up our lunch at cc' s and bring it to the lounge and enjoy that view!! Also dd will run and grab Tonga toast and bring to the lounge at breakfast. So even if you have to go buy your food the lounge is still a nice place to hang out. Not too many places in this world with THAT view:worship:
