Okay I will give up the hair dryer LOL!!!!! Will save some room for souvies!!
Well as of this morning I'm officially all packed WOOT!!!! Last load of laundry was finished this morning!!
Thank you!! I'm really excited and nervous all at once.LL
I'm so excited for you . . . and so jealous for myself Have a great
time, the weather is going to be warmer. You will have so much fun you won't be able to stand yourself!!!!
That's okay! Thank you.Hey Jen and LL. Sorry I haven't been around much lately, but I wanted to stop by and wish you both well before you go. Hope you have a safe trip.
I overpack constantly. Marc convinces me that I don't need 1/2 the stuff and he's right...just don't tell him that.Hey Jen, you made me laugh with your packing talk......I am a terrible packer...I also pack way too much...it is a dilemma and mean what if you need something...
(Eric is trying to challenge me with this...and it doesn't help that we have friends with 4 sons who travel a lot and who all manage-each of them
to pack everything they need for say a one week trip to London (or pick any other place) in one carryon suitcase and a backpack or a purse...
nothing gets checked in and you have to be able to carry what you pack...
Wow 2 days for LL......you're going to tell us in detail about the surprise...right...
Yummy Jiko flatbreads... and filet......and are you going with that chocolate cheese cake with lavender ice cream for dessert?
Hmmm...can't wait to see what the last food porn countdown photo will be...
Thank you so much!I hope you both have wonderful, healthy and safe trips! I've been reading all along and have enjoyed your PTR immensely, I just don't post as much as I used to.
I'm really looking forward to the TR, especially your photos, LL. You have such crazy good photography skills that it won't matter which camera you use.
Have a great trip!
I will try and Twitpic lots for you!One day!!! Woo hoo!!!
I can't believe that you are soooo close!!!
I don't know what I will do the rest of the week when you aren't here to post food pictures every morning. Could you Twitpic all your goodies down there?
I am so so so so nervous! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee!Whoa ladies! The time is drawing near!!
YAY for two days LL and YAY for Jen being packed!!! I'm feeling much better now that Jen packed! I love packing for trips. It's exciting! Now if I had to move, that's a whole other thing. UGH. The only good thing is you can throw out a lot of stuff.
I really want to know what's in that envelope!! I couldn't tell how big it was. I've got some guesses that I'll just keep to myself and wait and see.
I hope the next two days go just fast enough for you!! I'll probably be back here but just in case...
HAVE A GREAT MAGICAL TRIP!!
I've tried to relax tonight and I've been successful. I'm going to try to go to bed early so I get enough rest tonight!WOO HOOJen, you so have to try the filet at Jiko...if you are eating steak anywhere make sure it's there. It was ohmygodsogood!! The mac and cheese..the wine sauce...it all works together.. I had a flatbread there too....I ate and ate and ate there...starter, main and dessert! The flatbread I had was with olives and was soooo good too. Oh I am so hungry.
You will be fine wearing sweater/jeans there...I think I had on capris and a nice t...
So super excited for you both!!
Tracy
Hehehe, who knows what we will end up with!Jiko is really wonderful, but personally I am not so sure about that steak. I am sure that it will be a wonderful steak for what it is, but I think Jiko has so many other interesting entrees as well! So if you have another good opportunity for steak I would vote for getting something else at Jiko. If you eat fish, the fish in tomato butter sauce is absolutely wonderful!! But I think I will get the lamb this year! But then you will most likely have couscous already at Marrakesh!
I feel good about what I plan to wear now. I was a bit nervous about it last night. That flat bread always looks and sounds so amazing! I'm looking forward to your review of it all!!!
We saw many people in jeans at California Grill. Jeans and a button down shirt, or jeans and a sweater. One guy was even in dress-ier looking shorts (crazy, it was cold!). I think you'll be good in the jeans and a sweater.
I'm curious too!Jen,
Great job packing! I am curious about your gift for Leslie. I always pack my own blow dryer too.
Thank you so much! I will be tweeting and texting lots.I'm here to wish you a final bon voyage as well as give a strong endorsement for the filet at Jiko.
Have a great time, ladies! I'm looking forward to tweets and text messages galore.
Thank you!! We will take lots and lots of photos.Ladies, in caes I don't get on before you go, have a wonderful trip. Enjoy all the fun, all the food, and please, by all means, photograph it all!!!!
One day!
Love that Jen is all packed but glad BOTH of you aren't bringing hairdryers.
I frankly am impressed you both have room for them! I prefer mine as well but never have enough "extra" space to bring it so deal with the glued to the wall wimpy ones which are a pain!
WTG Leslie on new comfy pants and Jen with the Old Navy run!
Jiko looks yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!
Suprises....can't wait to see what is in the envelope.
Travel save and fly safe. Eat like kings and HAVE FUN!
