Did anyone else order the Kitchenaid mixer from Target the weekend after Thanksgiving?

If you ordered it, did you get it?

Here's my vent: I was working in the ER on the 27th of November when the sales flyer came out. They had the Kitchenaid professional 5 quart mixer for $199 and everything in the store was an additional 20 or 30 % off. I ended up getting the mixer (to be shipped to my daughter) for $181.

So, both myself and a coworker wanted to order the mixer. We went on line with our CCs immediately. The mixers showed on the home page, but when you clicked the link, it said the product wasn't found. My coworker called the 800 number for Target.com to order over the phone. It was obvious from the call that the person who she spoke with spoke minimal English. She was afraid she'd never het the mixer because of language issues. She (we found out later) did get the order in, but the Target employee typed her email address in incorrectly so she never got email updates on it. (More on that later). Though the plan had been to pass the phone to me after my coworker finished, I was also nervous ordering that way and went on my iPhone to the Target app where I was able to order the mixer online before my friend finished her phone order. The mixer I ordered was to be delivered to my daughter for Christmas.

A couple days later, I got an email that my order was backordered. I could expect delivery between Dec 9th and Jan 2nd. Luckily, I remembered to warn my coworker about the backorder as she never got the email because her email address had been entered incorrectly by the Target online. And, to add to the aggravation, the emails stated that if you didn't "agree" to the backorder dates, your order would be automatically cancelled. I agreed to the backorder hoping that it would arrive by Christmas...

My friend's mixer arrived on Dec 22nd. My daughter's didn't. Last evening, I went back to my order to check the tracking. I figured since it's supposed to arrive by Monday, it should have been shipped. Nope. Last night I got another email. ANOTHER back order (that had to be accepted) that wouldn't have my daughter's Christmas present to her until FEBRUARY. Seriously? I attempted calls to Target online and was repeatedly hampered by the language issue. It's obvious that they read from a script.

Today I finally found a number for customer service that's answered in the US. I found out that the mixer I'd ordered (in silver) was out of stock with an unknown restock time. There was a red and black model available. (Neither which would match my daughter's kitchen). I texted my coworker thinking she'd obviously ordered a different color than me, hence her shipment arriving on time. And no, she ordered sliver.

So for whatever reason, she got her mixer, and my daughter remains lacking her major Christmas present from me.

Sorry this got so long...but just wondering if I'm the only unlucky soul stuck in this infernal, aggravating circle.

I'm sorry you're going through this. You got a great price for the mixer, though, so at least there's that. Maybe Target fulfills phone orders first, then online orders?

I must say, I was underwhelmed with Target online/shipping. I didn't order anything fabulous, but I got three boxes that all looked like they'd been through the war. I do a lot of online shopping, plus we're a family of 6, so I probably had 25 or more packages arrive in the past 6 weeks--only the Target ones were beat up and crushed. It did not make me want to shop at Target online again.

I'm dealing with the same frustration! I ordered the silver one for my DS. We went over to Costco yesterday to compare but would still rather have the one I ordered from Target. I think he would take a black one. Can I ask you what number you called?

800-440-0680.

Don't hit the prompt for problems with target online or you'll be rerouted to Taiwan again.

And I have resolution!

After a talk with a CS specialist, my daughter is getting a 5 quart artesian (silver) kitchenaid. It's not the one from the sale, but it's the one I have. It's currently available. It will be shipped to her house by early next week.

The CS rep adjusted to price to exactly what I would have paid for the on sale one.

I'm very happy.

I didn't order the KitchenAid mixer from Target this year but did order an Ipod last year for my daughter from Target. Same issues. Husband ended up driving an hour and a half to a Target store because it couldn't be fulfilled on line. I've stopped shopping online with Target during the holidays. They are not dependable. Sorry for all your problems. I hope you get it soon. I have the silver 6 quart but got it from QVC years ago.

I had issues last Spring with a mixer from Target and ended up with a different color than I wanted but I wasn't too bothered with it since it was a hand mixer.

This Christmas I ordered almost everything from Target and almost everything came quickly; only 1 item out of many was late.

Maybe it is an issue with the housewares dept? Most of my Christmas purchases were toys, clothing, and Health and Beauty.

I'm having the same problems with Wal Mart. I ordered a printer during the Black Friday sales. Days later it showed shipped, then nothing. I've called twice now and finally got them to reorder with a 10% discount on Dec21st. And I'm still waiting. Apparently that printer is jinxed!

I had issues with a tv we bought a few days before black Friday. We got it quick but when it arrived it was in an open box marked as defective merchandise. I called and they couldn't fulfill my order. The first representative I talked to didn't seem to understand that problem, I was transferred to a supervisor and he told me to return it and then gave me a gift card for $40 to be able to buy a more expensive tv since the one I bought wasn't available. The problem was when I tried to return it they had a hard time reimbursing my warranty. After an hour I finally got it worked out, also I was on the phone for about 45 minutes. It was frustrating. They did give me another $15 GC for the troubles at Target. I decided to buy elsewhere because I was so annoyed and felt my time was worth the $55 in GCs I received. I don't know that I'll be buying at Target online around christmas again.

Same here. I ordered the Lego Millennium Falcon online a few weeks ago, for in store pickup. The next day, I got an email stating that it was no longer available for pick up in the store I chose, and that I needed to choose another option - except that it wasn't available for shipping, and none of the stores around me would allow the pick up. Between the website and the app, some stores showed 'limited availability - buy in store' or just out of stock. No one could give me an accurate inventory. I went to one of the limited availability stores, which didn't have it. They were kind enough to look in their system and call another store for me, who had it and held it for me. I went to pick it up and there were 5 of them on the shelf.. while it still wouldn't allow me to choose the pick up option for that store.

My only other complaint with shipping this year is USPS. I ordered a PS4 on BF. For some reason, FedEx moved it to USPS for delivery. They put a pick up slip in my mailbox, telling me that my item was being held at the post office and I needed to pick it up. I wasn't happy about that since the post office is nowhere close to me. Then, the next morning I open the front door to see a huge box on my stoop, right in the middle of the porch in plain view of the street. They had delivered it at 9:30 the night before and didn't bother knocking or anything.

I called customer service...no resolution. Said they couldn't give me the one that was in stock for the price I have on the one that hasn't shipped. Can't price match form the weekend after Thanksgiving. Deal was probably one of those too good to be true. Sale plus the extra 15% off and 5% Red card. I haven't cancelled my original order but I'll be surprised if it ever ships.

Maybe try calling back and speaking to someone else? I got the artisan for the same price and have kept all the email documentation in case Target changes anything. It's SO annoying that you have to jump through the hoops though.

didn't order one but targets CS failed me this year as well with christmas gifts.

It looks like Best Buy has the same mixer on sale for $200 right now.
