Couple trip for bday - ideas?

Hello! I'm going to be at Disney in Oct for my bday with just the 2 of us. I looked into the fireworks cruise, but would be over 300 bucks just for the basic cruise. Is it really worth it? Any other ideas for a bday celebration for adults? My boyfriend has never been to Disney, so he is still learning what a Disney nut I am...

I don't have experience with the fireworks Cruise, so can't speak to that specifically, but there are tons of great ideas that don't involve booking a special event like that. Here are a few:

• Dinner at Cali Grill either during Wishes, or earlier in the day and return to the observation deck to watch from there - Spectacular! bonus points for doing this on a MNSSHP night and catching the perimeter bursts during that show from that locale!
• Dinner at O'Hana, followed by a relaxing stroll on the beach in time to catch Wishes from there. Maybe grab an adult beverage before heading to the beach, or a Dole whip.
• Dinner at La Hacienda San Angel about half an hour before Illuminations and request a window seat to catch the show from there. There are other locations around WS where you could do something similar.

If you do want to do a special event, how about the Halloween Party! Super duper fun! or Club Villain, which is decidedly much more adult than any other ticketed event that I can think of. The food & drinks are great and the entertainment is AWESOME!
