Canadian Buffoon's Hi Low Vacation - South Central Musings

So much to say, but sadly, not only am I pulley, ver pully, but I'm laying in my room atR French Quarter, trying to reply using an ipad and a dodgy Disney wifi connection. Excuse the typos, please.

Sorry to hear that Laura.
Hope by now you're feeling a little less pulley?
And that Bill didn't get worse?

Yes, we're back, using the tail end of our AP's, which expire on Thursday.

I'd say something like "Yay! You're in Disney!"
but.... be better if you weren't sick.

We arived on Wednesday, with me starting to develop a bad cough/cold conveniently on Tuesday. Bill had a touch of stuffiness

Aw, man... that sucks.

by the time we landed, his left ear was blocked and my right ear was blocked. Leading to some very edifying conversations like this:

Me: How much cash are you bringing to the park tomorrow?
Him: Yes.

 Actually.. that's the correct answer to that question.

Anyway, he is not sick nut I still am. It got chilly today so I sent him to MK solo after a morning at HS.

How much did that hurt?

I wanted to give my two cents about the Sept Dismeet. I thought it went fine, given the insanely small venue, insanely HUGE F&W crowd, and the massive T-storms that shut down transportation.

You're too kind.
Actually, I forgot about the T-storms that day.
I was already inside when they hit.

I wanted to meet rhe famous Ponzi and I did!

Boy that dodgy wifi is making you type
funny typos.
You spelled "infamous" wrong.

At one point he asked me to take his bag while he searcheded for other life forms,

"And realized that he's a trusting fool
and we ran off with it.
We made a killing on kijiji."

..... which is utterly exhausting.

yup. That is all.

Yours, in the meantime, trumps most everything on the Boards. The end.

::yes:: Agree. 100%.
@Captain_Oblivious is probably the best writer
I've come across on the DIS.

Well, you know. Easy stuff, like fly the plane, and navigate it to really awesome places.

See? Easy peasy stuff. Planes nowadays fly themselves.

May I apply to pkondz air?

What are your qualifications?

I actually did wonder if it was simply that, and thought, nah, he's doing this intentionally. It was too easy.

Yup. Just dumb luck.

Which is the only kind I get, ya know.

So I have to go back to your Christmas dinner and say that I thought that I had figured out what Boulettes were as I am planning on making a Canadian Dinner for some friends in February and when I googled Canadian food it came up with Bouilli and I thought oh look I found his secret recipe, then I went back and found your post and lo and behold I was wrong - oh well I hope whatever it was you enjoyed it.

You'd never find that on the internets unless I put it there.
It's a family recipe more than a Canadian one.
No one else I've asked has ever heard of it.

I haven`t come up with a licence plate but I do like whoever suggested PONZI like FONZIE - you can be cool just like he was.

Well, I am cool like Fonzie.
Actually.... Henry Winkler and I
share the same birthday.

Ha! They call me the Florence Foster Jenkins of the band!

Had to Google... :lmao:

 Holy crap Alison!!!! That changes.... everything!!!!

Boy are you getting bonus points.

I'd ship it to you if you had it shipped to me!

No worries there. They can ship it to Pembina, ND.
That's where we pick up all our US only stuff.

Probably more stalkerish. I've been like that since you said you were coming to visit.

Um.... okay....
(sneaks off while peering over shoulder.)

Well maybe just that you do shower before we meet.

I don't know if Ruby will like it
if you have a shower with me.
But I'll ask.

But then again it should hopefully be temperate during that time of year.

::yes:: Checked the March averages.
Nice!

I'm thinking that I would be a widespread system that would be included like the transportation system. Then they could sell it to cities outside the Disney bubble so that climates stay temperate, however, it might be harder to make a cold place warm than a warm place cool.

They have something for that already.
A giant magnifying glass in the sky.

Probably me!

Well Naked Jim seemed to think it was!

See?!?!?!

I'm thinking I'll pass.

I'm going to give it another shot.

Lines, lots of lines, unless you get sorcerer's passes and then they are awesome! Without the passes you have to line up for all the good stuff and then you miss all the good stuff because you are waiting in line for other good stuff.

Ugh... Well...
Hopefully you picked the right line.

It just didn't wow me in the least. Ariel’s ride had some good songs and funny jokes with the fish. I thought it was just meh.

I did like it better than it's predecessor.

Well they used to have a margarita stand outside and Fran and I always stopped there for a quick frozen margarita. Not the best, but it hit the spot without the line. They closed it a while back. When we were there with Liesa I noticed a construction wall up on the left of the pyramid. That's going to be an outdoor tequila bar to take up some of the slack of the indoor one. And it's supposed to be much larger.

Good thing. It's needed...

Oh of course we will only meet up with you. Should we make a secret question only you know the answer to?

Good idea!
So.... what's the secret question?

True we are the cinque-tenarians.

Sorry, what? Couldn't hear you with my hearing aid turned off.
I usually turn it on when I go out with my walker.

That's OK, I have a habit of turningguys to the opposite team. :lmao:

:rotfl: pkondz disappoints Ruby when he gets home!

Me too. I like my creamy things creamy and crunchy things crunchy. I'm not big on combining them.

::yes::

Funny I thought sashaying was faster.

Sashay: walk in an ostentatious yet casual manner,
typically with exaggerated movements of the hips and shoulders.

I am anything but typical.

I assume "scansion" is a vocal term. As I said, I've been named the Florence Foster Jenkins of the band. But I do have rhythm!

Scansion: the rhythm of a line of verse.

Surely not.

You'll see...

Well... since you're asking...

Wow! I can't believe that worked!

Actually, I thought of you when I thought this up.

No pressure...

:sad2: Given @franandaj 's link, I might be too late to the party!

I call it a pre-emptive strike.

::yes:: I do that, too. Gotta make 'em work for the insults.

No it's because you're running it
at too high RPMs.

Stupid Windows 95.

Yup.

Can you imagine waiting 2 hours for a ride that sucks?

I can't imagine waiting 2 hours for a ride that I like!

Got a problem with that?
I have several imaginary friends
who have my back, ya know.

They'll never let you down. Except when you actually need someone to physically have your back.

It really was! I was really surprised.... and touched.
Go ahead and make fun of that if you wish,
but I really was.

Not at all. Human decency is rare these days, so I won't make fun of it when I see it.

Funny thing is, I usually do.
But it got stained red
and I was too embarrassed to bring it.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Wll, th ltrntv s ths. wld mk txtng sr*

*Well, the alternative is this. Would make texting easier.

My eyes are bleeding now.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that your inviso-text pen is out of ink.

Dagnabbit! Sorry about that. I'm really getting old.

:blush::blush: Yours, in the meantime, trumps most everything on the Boards. The end.

Oh, man. Thank you for such a great compliment. I don't see where mine are better than yours, Pkondz, or anyone else around here, but I really appreciate you saying that.

Ha! They call me the Florence Foster Jenkins of the band!

I forget where I saw this, but somebody made a crack that "Florence Foster Jenkins!" sounds like something you yell when you're trying not to curse in a family setting.

::yes:: Agree. 100%.
@Captain_Oblivious is probably the best writer
I've come across on the DIS.

You guys are way too kind. Thank you. Also, your check is in the mail.

 Holy crap Alison!!!! That changes.... everything!!!!

Boy are you getting bonus points.

I was going to suggest LTOON. Both as a Marvin reference and a warning to the other drivers.

Had to Google... :lmao:

Did that move not play in Canada?

 Holy crap Alison!!!! That changes.... everything!!!!

Boy are you getting bonus points.

 :teeth:

No worries there. They can ship it to Pembina, ND.
That's where we pick up all our US only stuff.

Ah, I know folks in Ontario go to Windsor or Buffalo.

Um.... okay....
(sneaks off while peering over shoulder.)

C'mon, admit it, you like the idea of being stalked.

I don't know if Ruby will like it
if you have a shower with me.
But I'll ask.

I said "BEFORE" not "WITH"!!!!!!!!!!

::yes:: Checked the March averages.
Nice!

Hopefully we won't have 95 degree weather. It has happened.

They have something for that already.
A giant magnifying glass in the sky.

Ahhh yes, that causes humans to spontaneously combust.

Ugh... Well...
Hopefully you picked the right line.

:sad2: Never.

I did like it better than it's predecessor.

True. It still has trolls.

Good idea!
So.... what's the secret question?

What's Pkondz's license plate?

:rotfl: pkondz disappoints Ruby when he gets home!

Well if it hasn't happened by now, maybe you'll be immune to my powers.

Sashay: walk in an ostentatious yet casual manner,
typically with exaggerated movements of the hips and shoulders.

I am anything but typical.

So like this?

I've been meaning to come comment. Things have been very hectic. We are being relocated to Texas at the end of February.

Good Morning! I have had a few days to veg out after surgery. Healing well, doing fine - except I am way weaker than I want to be and not sure why. Guess all my energy goes to healing.

Glad to hear you're healing well Tammie! :)

Since I am back to work tomorrow, Jim says he is taking me hiking today to get in shape for it. Okay, just a trip to Costco. :rotfl2:

:lmao:

1. What time does the infernal alarm go off?

Because the magical depress picks you up so early, I will say 2:45

2. How long do I wait for DUD (Disney's Un-magical Depress)?

5 minutes

3. I watch a Disney animated movie on the flight. Which?
Hint: Hadn't seen it before.

Toy Story 3

4. Connecting flight. Do I make it?

Yes

5. How do you take your coffee?

Strong and black, like all respectable PNWers

Noted.

I sense a coffee war between PNWers brewing.

(please tell me you see what I did there.)

Bonus: Did you see it?

Saw a sign in a foreign country

Canada?

For what it's worth, I like that one. :)

I have to admit that I didn't really
think of that one because who would
be able to figure it out?

But with Alison's plate link....

Haunted Mansion
999HH
Fanatic

Ah yes, of course. I think the poncho sales just paid for Iger's $23 million bonus (or whatever ridiculous amount it was).

Nah. Pretty sure they sold more than
42 ponchos.

FREDM- Freedom
1TOGO- One To Go
WANDR- Wander
RDDEN- Ridden
SCORE-
ESCPE- Escape
OPNRD- Open Road
W84IT- Wait for It

Still thinking on this.

Wow! I can't believe that worked!

Sometimes the most unlikely results can occur.

:sad2: Given @franandaj 's link, I might be too late to the party!

Still haven't picked a winning plate, though.
Just sayin'.

::yes:: I do that, too. Gotta make 'em work for the insults.

I can't imagine waiting 2 hours for a ride that I like!

Nope. Not even HM.

They'll never let you down. Except when you actually need someone to physically have your back.

They do have my back!
Yeah! What are you talking about?
You tell him!

My eyes are bleeding now.

Huh. That worked...

I was going to suggest LTOON. Both as a Marvin reference and a warning to the other drivers.

Not bad...

Did that move not play in Canada?

Probably... just don't know it.
I don't get to see nearly as many movies as I used to.

Like that do you?

Ah, I know folks in Ontario go to Windsor or Buffalo.

We go to Pembina. Two hour round trip.

C'mon, admit it, you like the idea of being stalked.

Hmmmm... if you're actually interested in that,
send me a PM.

I said "BEFORE" not "WITH"!!!!!!!!!!

:lmao:

Hopefully we won't have 95 degree weather. It has happened.

That's the temperature that people burst into flames, right?

Ahhh yes, that causes humans to spontaneously combust.

::yes:: 95 degrees.

Oy.

What's Pkondz's license plate?

I don't know the answer to that yet!
(Well... actually... I have a very clear
front runner.)

Well if it hasn't happened by now, maybe you'll be immune to my powers.

We'll have to see in March, won't we?

So like this?

john-cleese-silly-walk-o.gif

Ministry of Silly Walks.

That is not sashaying....
But I can do that if you like.

I've been meaning to come comment. Things have been very hectic. We are being relocated to Texas at the end of February.
Oh my! Is that a good thing? Something you wanted?

Trust me. No worries! Moving is stressful.
I've spent the last few days at MIL's place
packing her up for her move next week.
