Hoosll, turned 5-0 during the trip, planned it for 6 months with major help from DIS and other sites
DH, 54, he suggested the trip as a birthday present, little did he know how much happiness it would bring me for the planning and executing

WDW History: This was our third trip. We have always stayed on site. This was our first trip without the kids, it took me 10 years to get over the guilt that I didn’t want to share another vacation at WDW with whining and demanding kids! I should have acted sooner.

Friday, 12/15
This is our last day, but the plane doesn’t leave until 4:00p, Mears is to pick us up at 2:00.

8:10a – Breakfast at Whispering Canyons – we got to watch the ketchup and fork routine. Gabe, our server could tell that we were not in the mood to participate and DH was not really sure what was happening. Food was quite good.

9:00a Tried to return to our room to pack and check out. Hmmm – our keys no longer work. A passing valet told us to visit the front desk so back down we go…. Explain….get a new key and return to our room. Still doesn’t work but the same valet is passing so he opens the room for us.
We put our luggage in storage and headed to the dock, I wanted one last trip to MK.

9:45a Boat to MK and then we rode the train to Frontierland. DH did not want to take a chance on getting his traveling clothes wet so we skipped Splash Mtn and headed for a last ride on BTMRR. We decided to just walk around towards our final destination of the Plaza restaurant for lunch. We decided to do the Tea Cups and I wanted to try Goofy’s Barnstormers – no wait, cute theming and fun ride! Arrived for our lunch ressie.

11:30a Lunch at Plaza Restaurant. Hidden treasure, oasis in the middle of crowds. The milkshake I had was delicious and the sandwiches are huge. We couldn’t do it justice after our big breakfast.

12:30p Headed down Main Street for one last look in the shops. We saw Daisy and Pluto near the Kodak shop and stopped for pictures. One last look at the castle and off to catch our boat.

2:00 – 9:30p Various travels around the World, Orlando, and points northward to Virginia via Mears and US Air.

10:00p Arrived home exhausted but we had a marvelous vacation.

See my tips and restaurant reports!

That last day is so sad, isn't it. :(

You're not kidding about the Plaza. I just realized it wasn't a fast food place the other day.

I'm glad you made it home safely. :)

Thanks for taking the time to share your trip with us. :)
