Best SAVORY Snack or Side...

We are not on the dining plan so be creative! Tell me your favorite yummy savory snack or side throughout WDW as we love to eat smaller meals. I am compiling a list and see that the Golden Outpost has some unique waffle fries that would definitely fit the bill. We are also not going during food and wine. Thanks so much !!

Well, you really can't go wrong with some good old-fashioned popcorn

Personally, my favorite savory snacks include the egg rolls in Frontierland and Epcot's China Pavilion. Also, 50's Prime Time Cafe has a bar that you can sit at and order food- I suggest the onion rings! Also, there's garlic knots at pinocchio's village haus that will knock your socks off.

Might I recommend the Disey Food Blog snack guides to you? They sound like they'd be right up your alley. They're a little pricey, but they have full, comprehensive lists of where to find EVERY SNACK in EVERY PARK- with reviews! It's very impressive.

We really love the Garlic Parmesan and Truffle Oil Skinny Chips ($5.00) at Raglan Road in DTD.

There's also the Jalapeno & Cheese Stuffed Pretzel from Block & Hans in the American Adventure Pavilion at EPCOT ($5).

The Roulé Lard and Fromage (Bacon & Cheese Roll - $3.95) or Croissant Jambon Fromage (Ham, Cheese and Béchamel in a Croissant - $4.75) from Les Halles Boulangerie in the France Pavilion in EPCOT.

We really love the Pork & Vegetable Egg Rolls ($3.99 for 2) or Chinese BBQ Pork Buns ($4.50) from the Joy of Tea cart in the China Pavilion at EPCOT.

As you can see, we do most of our snacking in EPCOT! LOL

MK - Casey's: I'm partial to the BBQ Slaw Dog - hotdog smothered in BBQ Pulled Pork and topped with Coleslaw. Some prefer the Chili Dog which is just as substantial. My wife enjoys the Smoked Sausage with Onions & Grainy Mustard, but's this one is the smallest. They come with fries or apples - about $10.

MK - Sleepy Hollow: - between 11am - 4pm they serve Fried Chicken & Waffle - an ordinary fried breast fillet dipped into a sweet & sour sauce served in a freshly made waffle and topped with broccoli slaw and arugula. Some argue it's messy, you can ask for "[L]ess sauce, please." - under $8. There is a savory Ham & Cheese Waffle as well. Coffee drinks with ice cream too if Starbucks is not your cup of tea.

EP - France - any pastry, any gelato. Get some cheese and bread to say you had a meal. Don't forget the wine. You'll be momentarily transformed.

AK - Tamu Tamu - any salad and a Dole Whip.

HS - 50's Prime Time - get a margarita, skip the snack food in HS. Maybe a sweet at Writer's Stop.

BW - ESPN - silly thing - excellent nachos and iced cold beer.

GF - Mizner's Lounge - cocktails and lounge food (from Citrico's kitchen).

AKL - Sanaa - excellent food and a chance to see the animals on the Savannah (by daylight) and/or the wonderfully themed AKLodge.

Perhaps I also should have mentioned that many (many!) of the QS meals are more than enough to share. Both Flame Tree BBQ (AK) & Cosmic Rays (MK) have a Chicken & Rib combo that I can share with 2 of my kids.

And the sandwiches at Kringla Bakery in Norway are HUGE, plenty to share... not to mention really good!

We were at DHS for Fantasmic! on 02/20, and we did not see the bread cones offered.
