I'm a little confused here, so I'm hoping to get some help!

I have a dinner reservation for 8:50pm at Be Our Guest. However, Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween party starts at 7, and we do not have tickets to the event. I've read that we shouldn't even be able to make reservations without having tickets to the event. Yes it still stands that we have them. I've been checking constantly for a better reservation that works with our trip, to no avail.

My question is, if we duck into the seven dwarves mine train right before 7, when we are required to leave, this should take up a few hours of waiting time for our reservation. If we get out of the line shortly before our reservation. and head straight to be our guest, how will they know that we do not have tickets to the Halloween party, and, more importantly, will they still let us in for our reservation?

Any help greatly appreciated! We are traveling with a group of 6 people and really want to try to get in there while we are in Disney!

You are going to have to change your reservation.

They may not verify that you have tickets when you booked it, but they will certainly be checking arm bands after you get off of any ride or out of any line. And you will be escorted out the gate.

You must have party tickets to eat at Be Our Guest during the party. At 7 PM castmembers will be checking anyone in the park for party wristbands and anyone without the wristbands will be directed or escorted to the park exit. Regardless of how long the Mine Train line is, once you get off the ride you will not be able to stay in the park unless you have MNSSHP tickets.

The dining reservation system will let anyone make reservations because there's no way of knowing who already has or is planning to purchase tickets for the party, but on the front page of the BOG reservation page it will show the restaurant times and the note that after a certain time it is a "Special Ticketed Event" that requires party tickets. Further into the reservation process it will again note that you must have party tickets so while you can make the reservation, you will not be able to dine at BOG after 7 PM. On a party night, the last reservation you can book without party tickets is at 6:15.

This is what it will say online for a party night.
To eat dinner without tickets it must be 6:15 or earlier.
You will be refused at check in, if you manage to stay that late, without party wristbands.

you are also assuming you will be allowed in line. If the line is an hour long, at 6:45 and the park closes at 7 you will not be allowed to join the line

party nights are for those forking over big bucks to have the event. There is no sneaking around the edges, please don't think that they are lax, they are not! They will not even allow you in the store on the way out of the park.

the system does not stop you from making the ADR, it lists it as a special ticketed event.

Good luck finding a better time during your visit:)

Or a bathroom after 7 PM.
True that!!!
People are extremely devious and cunning and will do absolutely anything to sneak into this paid event. Disney has become very wise to the shenanigans, and has dropped the hammer. If you do not have a wrist band, you will ve escorted (very politely, but nonetheless) O-U-T!
And I for one, am not sorry, it's very annoying to pay a price for an event and have someone who has not, sneak in for free.
Also, do you not think that there are WDW IT employees who monitor all these boards and forums? There is nothing you can post that they don't know about!

When we recently attended the party, they had CMs stationed on pretty much every walkway around 6:55 checking wristbands, and you couldn't even pass by them on the walkways to anywhere in the park unless you showed a wristband.

So, OP, as many others have said, while the system is blind to whether you have a party ticket, the cast members won't be. You will absolutely miss your 8:50pm dining reservation as you will be escorted out of the park by about 6:55pm, and will be charged $10/person if you don't cancel it in advance.

Just as you can schedule an in-park ADR without tickets on your account, the same is true for hard ticket events.

As previously stated, hard tickets are also a hard close for non-ticket holders. They won't let you in line at 6:50 on a ride with more than a 5 minute wait. They won't let you in a bathroom. The website designated "special ticketed event" hours for in-park TS, and did not open BOG ADRs until after party dates were announced and those times added to the site.

The 8:50 ADR will not happen for you without party tickets. There is no way to sneak around the problem.
