Asking for Room # at break/lunch

Hi. Just curious as to why they ask for your stateroom number at Royal Court for breakfast and lunch. Then punch it into the computer. It doesn't seem to have a bearing on where you sit. Thanks.

To check for allergies or other dietary restrictions. Probably also used to keep track of actual use of the venue.

Nope. You "tip" your dinner dining room server $4.00 per day for all meals (3 meals a day). Now, it's quite likely you may not actually have "your" server for breakfast or lunch, but it's someone's server and they are tipping them.
