April 2015 Car Rental Codes

Hi folks,
I needed a minivan from April 11th to 21st.
Trying all the options here but was not getting any decent deal.
The best I could find was with Costco Travel for 680.00 (ouch) for the 10 days from Budget.
Using a code from my work company, I was able to get a minivan from enterprise for 547.58. Still way more than I was expecting to pay.
According to my research, it shouldn't be a very busy week at the parks, so I'm not sure what the issue is?
If anyone has found a better price out there, let me know, PLEASE!!!!

Prices have gone down quite a bit for me.
Using Costco travel site, I was able to book a minivan this morning with enterprise for U$ 330.00
If I want to go full size, it can be had for U$ 197.00. This is a huge drop!!!!

Whats the $30 discount coupon code everyone references in here for Alamo? Got a great price this AM on my Costco membership ID with them but an additional 30 would be awesome!

Costco code with no coupon gets 170 all in for fullsize at Alamo. Given the chance of the full size aisle sometimes having larger vehicles (and the ability to pick my own), I'm going to swap out my $143 all in at Dollar I think.

The Costco code comes with a free additional driver but nowhere to add that to the reservation. How do I do that if I want to (I DON'T want to wait on the line for the counter, however)? Anyone know? One of the big reasons I'm switching is the ability to go pick my own and bypass basically any interaction with a rental agent!

I see that Dollar has now officially announced the "pick any car in your class" service - similar to National. They let me do this the last two times I was at MCO but it wasn't "official". http://www.dollar.com/en/TravelCenter/TravelTools/ChoiceService.aspx

Anyone who is looking for a rental tomorrow 4/4 Dollar has a city special (no codes) for a full-size $257 all-in 8 days, or Budget has full-size for $220 all-in 8 days. (code BCD D464700 and coupon MUGZ165 for USAA Members)
Not great, but not awful considering the holiday. HTH.

It says that renters must present proof of USAA affiliation at the time of rental:

I use mugz001 (only $25 off) for BJs members instead since I have a card. No physical coupon required.

I did not book through Costco and the Visa code worked for me. I'm assuming you have to pay with a Visa but I do not know for sure.

I checked again today and saved another $8 on my intermediate. I also booked a compact for $5 less, and that's really all we need, but I don't think the "Ford Focus or similar" will have the extra stuff I like. But I'm hoping to score an upgrade at the counter. Not sure if I should take the chance.

And I'm going to look and see the day before if I can "pay now" and save another $7 or see if priceline's name your own price can get me a cheaper deal. But I' more than happy with a $108-113 rental for the week.

Picking up on April 4th vs April 5th this year is very detrimental to our rate. We had a wonderful rate of $300 all-in for a weekly mini-van, but need to adjust the rate to add a few more hours (our flight changed) and will increase our rate by over $700 (more than $1,000 all in). We were so excited to have a better flight out but the car rental change during the holiday period is killing me. I have a back-up ressie with a mid-size SUV if we can't adjust our mini-van rental before pick-up (which looks to be very likely at the moment).

Just wanted to update that I was able to adjust our rate for a mini-van with Budget: Originally $300 all-in, now $362 to add a few more hours (now an 8 day rental). The trick was that Budget ran out of mini-vans for our dates so the reps couldn't quote me a rate and had to transfer me to a "specialist" who was able to add an extra day at a reasonable rate.
