AP Room Discount Good for Entire Stay if AP expires early?

This is the situation: We have AP that expires Mar 31. Our travel and park days at Disney are Mar 31-April 2 or 3. For a room discount, would the current AP be good to get discount for 4 days?

And if we used the AP for one person on Mar 31, but then 3 day hopper for April 1-3, how does that resolve with MB, ride reservations, linking, and all the such!

Our AP expired a couple of days before we checked out last year and we had booked at an AP rate. It wasn't an issue.

We also had older tickets to use for our final days. We linked them ahead of time and made fp's. Just make sure you go to guest services and prioritize your tickets before entering the park. Double check as you enter. We prioritized and they still used our tickets before our AP's expired. It was a pain to fix.
