Beginning from today (Tuesday, September 6, 2016), the Admiral Pool area at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort will be under construction for a short period of time. This work is scheduled to take place Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. During this time, the pool will continue to remain open to hotel Guests, but all those walking around the area are encouraged to be very careful when walking next to the sections that are under construction.

Directions to YC Quiet Pool from inside resort- The room closest to the YC quiet pool entrance is Room 1071. The door to the pool is almost opposite room 1071:

The gates are manned with an actual person that scans your magic band 99% of the time during pool hours. They will give you a wrist band so you don't have to scan all day. You need a new wristband each day as the color changes. You can cut through to go to Hurricane Hannahs, but not really convenient otherwise.

There are four entrances to Storm Along Bay. None of them work with a MB. They all have a CM at the entrance. There is an entrance near Beaches and Cream at the BC, an entrance by the YC, near the Crews Cup Lounge, and entrance at Hurricane Hanna's, and an entrance near the big slide. The gates are locked when the pool is closed.

There are three quiet pools that have gates but they don't lock.

We were there the last week of August this past year (not busy) and they were very strict about having to have your magicbands to initially get in. They checked all of ours and then gave us a color coded paper band to put on to use for the day.

If it is outside of pool hours, you cannot access SAB.

And you cannot just cut through if you are not a guest of the YC/BC/BCV. When the gates are locked, they are locked. If the leisure pools aren't gated yet, they will be in the near future. All pools are being gated.
