Anyone book free dining with AAA agent??

I am able to book our free dining trip on Thursday. Last year, I used AAA in May to book the trip. Since it is the first day it is open to the public, I am not sure if I should use AAA or just do it myself. I liked the fact that with AAA we got a special storytime with Peter Pan. Our agent also called us to come in and pick up our documents a few weeks before our trip. If you book through Disney, do they just mail you everything?? What if you don't know your flights yet for the DME??

Thanks!

I booked through AAA. It took a few hours to hear back from the agent. But she has been great so far. PM me if you want her extension number and email. If you are still waiting to book on Thursday and you are afraid of your resort might sell out, it is probably best for you to call in yourself. AAA agent still has to call Disney. Otherwise, I'd love to have an agent to handle my request via email.

I'd call NOW to book "hold" your room preference resort and location, call back and then just add your free dining with minimum 1 day ticket at first
opportunity.
As far and ME, they mail you everything out in plenty of time. As soon as you know your flight info, call and tell them. It is NO BIG DEAL and very common. Are you cutting it "THIS" close, within a week of trip to get flights? If thats the case, I'd check directly with Disney. In the meantime, AAA has no special way to get stuff to you. It all still comes thru Disney, so I am unsure if thats an advantage.
Whatever you choose, feel comfortable in your choice. Good Luck and have a great trip.

You could always book now then add the free dining on Thursday, then turn the reservation over to your AAA agent if you wanted to. That way you could still get the AAA package perks.

Just as an FYI - like any other promotion with Disney, the free dining is subject to resort availability. A limited number of rooms are held at each resort - and not all room types may be available. (ie: standard vs. water view). If you book your room now, there is no guarantee that it will be available with free dining.

If you want the free dining, best to be on the phone with Disney yourself at 7am booking it and later transfer your reservation into AAA. Better yet, book with a Disney specialist, pay your deposit and the Disney specialist will be on the phone at 7am for you checking into it.

So Pete, I thought you were going to fire those Mod's who advertised about using Dreams?

Very unethical to promote Dreams without revealing one is a Dream's agent.

Let's get this back on topic or the thread will be closed. If you have a question about a post or poster you should use the report a post feature.

You are not allowed to post that you are a travel agent here on the Resorts board. It could appear that you are trying to conduct business when that isn't what the poster is trying to do.

Last year I was on hold for so long on the first day to book free dining, so I just called AAA travel and she got through and did the ressy for me immediately! Sure beats hanging on hold forever. I wonder if the AAA folks have a different number to call...

We booked our through AAA too. We actually booked back in October of last year with dining, and our agent told us to call IF they Disney offered the free dining. SO, first thing Monday morning we called and told her we wanted the free dining added. She called us back an hour later, and had our dinign credited!!

Yes, they do.

What are the perks of going through AAA? I know you get Diamond parking, but we wont have a car during our stay.

What is the diamond card? Sorry for all the questions! :)

A card for savings on meals, merchandise, and entertainment at participating locations in the WDW resort. 15% off tours, 10% off purchases of $50 or more at the World of Disney, 15% off body treatment at GF spa or SSS spa, 10% off food and non-alcoholic beverages at Planet Hollywood, Wolfgang Puck's, etc. That's just some of the discounts.

I also like the insurance that AAA offers. Seems easier to let them handle arrangements and work out all the bugs. Make all ADR's myself, along with any other extras. :)

Thats another question that I had. :) Are you talking about travel insurance? If so, do you know how much it is?
