Am I Up to the Challenge of the 2014 F&WF? Bring on the Food!

I'm glad you enjoyed you meal there. The Chase lounge sounds interesting. Do you just need a Chase Visa to get in there?

...I believe so....I just remembered that the person at the door was specifically telling us that there were no more tickets available for Illuminations but we explained that we were just going upstairs to relax for a little bit....I'm not sure what those tickets were all about - I think it was for priority viewing (?) :confused3

With so many counter service credits and so little time to use them, we decided to meet Jean-Pierre and Maureen at The Mara for a quick breakfast before we'd head on out to US/IoA:

....so, we're on our merry way, heading east on Route 4 in the general direction of Universal Blvd. The problem is, we actually got a late start on the day; not good, considering it's Halloween and the US portion of this theme park will be closing at 5PM due to the night's festivities. Thanks but no thanks, I'm a big chicken-at-heart and I have no desire of sticking around to get the bah-jeebies scared out of me...

...the weather, once again, continued to look promising, with nary a cloud for miles - often a good sign. We were heading for Diagon Alley, but not before stopping momentarily to gape at the unbelievable hang time the clowns were getting on their pogo sticks:

Is this for Disney Chase cardholders? Where?

:happytv: Hahaha im laffin at the thought of you strolling past those clowns...lol

Nice TR so far. Although I was partly down there when you were.
Although i must add that as you walked by and bypassed Patagonia, you so missed the beef skewers, which were very tasty. Also had an empanada there too.

My favorite is as always, the fishermans pie.. My son thoroughly enjoyed all, but said that Brazil was the best. Pork belly. My daughter on the other hand loved the lamb chops at Australia.

We all agreed that the rib eye taco in mexico was good too.
The only drawback was that there was no more lobster roll in the US.:confused3

....sooooo, I'm guessing that you wandered towards the left side of the lagoon....we ventured the other way....we really wanted to try those lamb chops, but didn't get the chance...:confused3

....yup. It was at American Adventure....I'm not sure where the actual viewing area was though....it wasn't a concern of ours since we were going to be watching it from R&C....

...as we were nearing London, I noticed a grandiose monstrosity looming above....I didn't recall seeing this during our last visit to US/IoA; turns out it was one of the newer [although not brand new] attractions - Transformer:

Love to read about Universal ! We will be there in August 2015 , after about ten years ... SO I am very curious !!
popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:: Waiting for YOUR view of Diagon Alley ... popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

You need a Chase Visa card to get into the lounge. With one card, you can bring in ten people. A CM in the lounge was handing out wrist bands for a special viewing area of Illuminations.

Awwww, thanks, he like my favorite character ever::yes::

"Next Stop - Diagon Alley...and No Muggles Allowed! Just Mind the Horcruxes...Right This Way."

....we wanted to explore 'London proper' before actually stepping into that which is home of The Leaky Cauldron pub, Ollivander's, and Eeylop's Ow Emporium. That, in of itself, is quite intriguing, and if you stand before the facade of row homes, you will catch a glimpse of someone peering through from behind a curtain or partially drawn shade, or hear the sound of music wafting through an open window and it is here where you can take up with that most cheeky fellow 'hanging around' to poke fun of, and generally just harass the passersby:

....of course, I am referring to the shrunken head hanging in the doorway of the Knight bus....:teeth: He really should mind his manners, especially since he hasn't a leg to stand on.....:lmao:

We searched for the 'opening' to Diagon Alley with little difficulty, and when we were through the bricked wall, a completely different and strange world opened before us:
