Alternative to Beaches & Cream

i think it’s closed during my visit mid-late Nov 19.

Any recommendations for a similar alternative? American food and good ice cream sundaes?

The Fountain at the Dolphin is a great alternative.

For just ice cream, Ample Hills Creamery on the Boardwalk is also great.

You could go to Disney Springs. Many options for American Cuisine. Then, Sprinkles for dessert. Or, Boathouse for the meal and their Baked Alaska for dessert.

I agree with The Fountain (at the Dolphin).

Other options are Hurricane Hannah's (at the Beach Club) or Boardwalk to Go (on the Boardwalk) followed by Ample Hills (on the Boardwalk)

Another vote for the Dolphin Fountain. Better burgers than B&C and lots of other good choices.

Another vote for the Dolphin Fountain, there are days the service isn't so great and days its wonderful but we have never been disappointed in the food or the ice cream.

Our favorite spot for sundae's is Ghirardelli's. No lunch or dinner items there but there are so many choices all around their ice cream parlor.

With Beaches and Cream cloased for renovation, depends on if you are looking for unique ice cream creations or unique flavors.
While not the same, the Fountain has good options.
If you are looking for really good flavor options, Ample Hills is tough to beat.

I'm not sure, by your question if you only wanted ideas close to EPCOT, but if not we love the milkshakes and burgers/sandwiches at the MK Plaza, and get the same kind of vibe/atmosphere there. Plaza used to have all the ice cream from next door (?) on their menu, like sundaes, etc I think.

We choose the Fountain even when Beaches and Cream is available.

The Fountain is good but does not take the dining plan, if that's a concern.

Otherwise, we like Ghiradelli for sundaes. We've also found that Sci Fi has similar burgers to Beaches & Cream. I also second PP's suggestion of the Plaza at MK for burgers and sundaes in one meal.

Ghirardelli is one of my favorite spots for ice cream treats and they are definitely big enough to share.

DS has soooo many places to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Vivoli Gelato
Ghiradelli for the chocoholic in you as well as the Ganachery.
Sprinkles
and more that I canna even recall the names.

Same for "American" food and at different price points:

For the available most anywhere in the country you have Rainforest, Earl of Sandwich, and T-Rex versions of the known. Never eaten at either Rainforest or T-Rex but they get much love from many posters.
Boathouse for crunchy freshly fried seafood, a luscious raw bar, and chops cooked to order. According to the man the root beer float hits the spot.

Chicken Guy, Homecomin', Polite Pig, D-Luxe Burger, and the Smokehouse are all places that I either don't plan to eat at (I can get the same food at home)or haven't gotten around to yet and certainly specialise in one version or another of American regional cuisine.

Is Beaches & Cream still closed? I know it says Winter 2019 but it’s not Winter anymore. I set up a restaurant finder and it keeps finding a few but I’m not able to grab them.

It hasn’t closed yet. It closes in August and will be closed through this upcoming winter.

There can be a time lag between when the system sees the reservation and when you receive the alert. Also don't forget that the system is not continuously checking. If I recall correctly, it might check every 15 or 20 minutes.
