A No Snooze Bar Christmas, Harry & Mickey are Waiting
Welcome my my ramblings...errr, TR. As I sit down to title this TR, many titles pop in my head:
*Commando Mom in Charge of Christmas
*Can You Plan Too Much in a PTR?
*Early Bird Gets the Fast Pass
*Is it Possible to Have too Long of a Vacation?
*The Things we do to make sure our Children Have a Magicial Vacation
*I refuse to have a Meltdown when my Family Derails Ridemax Plans
*The Best Laid Plans...somebody tell my family about the value of touring plans
*Sleep, Who Needs Sleep?
I finally settled on the title A No Snooze Bar Christmas, because of comments based on this picture and post I made on Facebook Disney planning group I belong to along the replies I received back.
My Post:
Yes, another early morning today was my first rebellion but I still made it in time for our before MK opening at CP! But I had to promise to cancel the other ADR breakfasts the rest of the trip if they agreed to 9 am rope drop instead of 7:30 am breakfast ADRs!
Replies:
*Love the look on your young ones face!
*I want some French toast from CP for breakfast!
*LOL they all look ready to eat you!
*LOL, oh I got plenty of those looks until we slept in late and I took them straight to DHS where the waits were too long and I refused to wait. They learned quick enough to do what I say.
*Gee, some people need some happy juice-dont they know that they are at the happiest place on earth?
*Hah, they look like they need a Disney nap!
*Aha, the 8 am dragass
*Oh man I am not looking forward to those days
*Ha-ha! In their defense Tammie has had them up at the a**crack dawn every day.
We did get up VERY EARLY ALMOST every morning, and by about 11 am everyday my family understood why one morning it only took till 8:37 am to understand the importance of rope drop. I was pretty amazed that even my teenage dd, who is in the I love to Sleep phase got up and around without me nagging her.
As you can also tell by the title, this was not strictly a WDW trip. My two oldest are huge Harry Potter fans, and there is no way that we could miss the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Mickey is nice, but in my house Harry tends to rule! I am so thankful that I did not have to use the Rennervate spell on my Muggle children (non-Potter fans, that means to wake up or energize)!
Most days it was not a struggle for us to Rennervate, but as the vacation wore on, even I was questioning my commando plans for rope drop and well, by the last day stay tuned!
Here are some trip basics:
*Surprise Christmas Trip/Present for our Children
*This is a once in a lifetime family vacation to Orlando so we pulled out the stops knowing what we would not get back as a family.
*We did it the Dave Ramsey way cash
*I am the only one that has been to WDW/USO dh and kids received their
*December 25th-January 7th
*Split Stay:
5 Days/5 Nights at Universal Studios-Royal Pacific Resort, including a day at Discovery Cove
8 Days/8 Nights at WDW-Boardwalk Villas & POP Century

I did a pretty good job up until December linking information posts on to my index for those that want to learn more about my Commando ways!
