Hello and welcome to my TR!
I hope you enjoy taking this little journey with my family and I! Here is the link to the PTR if you want to see how this trip came to be ~ http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2724555
A little bit about us. . . This was our lucky number 7 trip to WDW. We started going in 2005 and fell in love and keep going back!
Most of you know me, so I will try to keep the intros brief!
I am a mom to 2 boys, 12 and 9 (almost 10). I have been married to my DH for 13 ½ years. We live in PA, so we love getting away to the warm sunny state of Florida! I am a former hairstylist, former banker, former stay-at-home mom. I guess I shouldn't really say former stay at home mom, I am still at home quite a bit. I work as a Teaching Assistant for our school district a few days a week. So I'm not at work everyday and I get my summers off! So what do I do in my spare time? Well I love photography (as you will see very soon by the 1400+ pics that are to come in this TR), scrap-booking, shopping, and planning our family vacations!
DH works very hard and a lot of hours as a Quality Assurance Inspector for a large company outside of Pittsburgh. So he enjoys getting away to WDW as much as possible! I think he's to the point where he loves Disney almost as much as I do!! He is a wonderful husband and father and enjoys taking the boys fishing & coaching DS's soccer team. He unfortunately had an unexpected guest join him on this trip in the PTR we referred to him as Hernia Harry! Yes, about 3 weeks before our vacation he found out he had a hernia. Due to the doctor's schedule and our upcoming vacation there wasn't enough time to operate before we left, so old Harry came with us. He has since had the surgery and is on the mend.
DS12 is our oldest and very responsible young man. He is growing up way too fast and I don't like it! He is the reason we took this summer trip. He was starting Middle School this fall and he is your typical first born child a worrier & over-achiever. We weren't sure how he would adjust to the change so we didn't want to pull him out of school so early in the year, otherwise this would have been a fall trip. He enjoys video games, reading, being with his friends, playing outside, fishing, riding his 4-wheeler, and Disney! He is very out-going and hilarious and loves to be the center of attention.
DS9 (will be 10 in a few weeks) is our little guy. He is very laid back and easy-going. Doesn't worry about a thing. We always joke that he'll never have an ulcer!! He loves Lego's, playing video games, Pokemon, Star Wars, fishing, playing outside, and playing soccer. He is a huge Disney fan. He might be the only one in the family who loves Disney as much as I do. Him and I could sit and talk Disney for hours! He is a very picky eater, which always makes dining on vacation interesting.
Our trip was August 26 ~ September 4, 2011. We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort (third time staying there) the first five nights with Free Dining and then moved over to the Polynesian (first time staying there) for the last four nights in the Club Level building.
