I have used countless hours reading these boards and anything else that I can get my hands on.... We would like to rent a 3 bedroom townhouse in Windsor Hills. My question is... What do I look/ask for so I get a nice place? Thanks so much! My head is spining with all the info I have found.

You should put your post in the main part of the forum here, not in the Hotel Reviews section - more people will see it!

Rented a 3 bd. townhouse in 2007 from

http://www.mickeysworld.net/

We got a unit in August 2007 for a week and paid around $850 for 8 nights! They rent 2 units. We can't afford to go to Disney any other way!

Townhouse was great and location to the complex pool was very close. You definitely need a car, but the "back way" to Disney is very close.

Owners were nice. I'd recommend them. :thumbsup2

(Just don't take my week in August 2009 - we haven't booked yet!)

What do I look/ask for so I get a nice place?

Start by getting quotes and looking at listings. Narrow it down by the # of rooms you need, the price you are willing to pay. Then look at sleeping arrangements (for instance do you need a king/queen/2 twins or a king/2 queens?) and decor (do you want a children's themed room?). Maybe the pool view matters to you - do you want an open view or to look out into another person's pool? Email the owners and see what kind of responses you get. See who you feel most comfortable with. Look at their payment terms/cancellation policies - again, a matter of personal comfort. Then you can find the link on here to check with the county to be sure they aren't behind on their taxes (indicating a possible foreclosure).

I've gotten quotes through windsorhillsrent.com and through vrbo.com. Both have been really helpful. You'll get a lot of quotes through the first one. VRBO you have to inquire individually, but I think their site gives you a little more information upfront about each listing.

We've been to Windsor Hills before, so we were a little pickier this time about the decor and pool view. Here's who we are renting from this time:

Last time we rented from these people, and while it was a great place, we needed a different bedroom layout this time (needed the kids room to be upstairs):
