Is the heat of September worth the smaller crowds?

September heat is miserable. If you have been to WDW a few times - I would do it. You might miss a few things while you take a rest but overall - it'll be ok. If it's your first time? I'd try another time.

Avoid Epcot on After Hour Event Days?

I would never let that stuff decide what you do. There's too much that is unpredictable about the crowds at WDW.

How critical is it to stay on property in order to get Genie+ LL and ILL?

It's not important at all. I'm going in June and savings boatloads of cash. Just put some of that savings toward Lightning Lanes and you'll have an amazing experience. You can get on Tron and Guardians no issue at all.

    Tiana’s Bayou AP Preview?

Let's all be real for a moment. Universal Studios can basically double their entire park in the same time that it takes Disney to re-theme a ride. They announced the re-theme ahead of time and appeared to basically do no work behind the scenes until Splash Mountain was closed completely. The...

Who here has done RCCL to Alaska?

We did Ovation to Alaska with a huge family group. I was stunned at a few things. Ovation had a great, beautiful back of the ship. Windows from the top to the bottom throughout. When we were going through some of the most beautiful parts of Alaska - they would play a virtual concert on the...

Best closing fireworks\light shows at WDW?

Agree with this. Harmonious is a very good show. Enchantment isn't as good as past MK shows.

Starting to worry about our trip in May!

It will be crowded. Disney will run parks at low capacity. All Disney trips are now determined by attitude. Go with just saying you will do the best you can and you'll have a fun time. If you compare it to the old days - you won't enjoy it and thus, you shouldn't do that.

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

After being home for a week or so now, I think I can calmly present the pros and cons of the trip. Cons: Inconsistent trams for parking - To me, this is crazy. I don't mind it so much at Magic Kingdom as the bridge work makes it borderline useless but in AK - it's quite bad. Genie+ is an ok...

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

Earlier complaining was not at all a slight to cast members. They are still superb. The unfortunate thing is the corporate strategy has changed for 10-15 years ago and how they treat the parks. It would be totally fine if folks just said that but please save us the facade of how magical the...

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

I’d add one last thing - go investigate Universal, trips to other countries, states and then total up Disney. Disney will not come out favorable and the experience is borderline awful.

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

Oh and they are getting by on nostalgia. They are not investing in the parks. Every long time Disney goer should realize this. Talked to a DVC couple in line at Soarin yesterday and they said they’ve never felt less enthused by Disney. I used to pay the big bill and almost feel as I got a...

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

Here now and thoughts are: Parks are broken. The wait times are insane. I can’t imagine the summer. Will be a total disaster. Disney should be totally ashamed that they don’t run the trams in AL and MK. Im sorry but that is a total sham. Im fine but I walk by elderly and kids who are struggling...

The big G+ rides at HS gone by 1:07!

Leaving for Disney tonight and will be in the parks for the next week. First time with G+. I have a cousin who goes as often as I do and he got back a couple of months ago and said G+ was the worst thing WDW has ever done. I am interested in my perspective. He said he's done with them until...

    Genie+ Stacking Strategy?

I am staying offsite and I have an AirBnB for 9 nights at a great resort 15 mins away from the Parks and it's $1750. Onsite prices are ridiculous and I don't know how you would be pushed onsite with the way the parks work now. If anything - it pushes people OFFsite.

Extended Hours for Magic Kingdom and Epcot

If you are in a deluxe resort with a Wednesday checkout - can you go to the Wednesday hours or no since you have checked out?

Be Our Guest: Yay or Nay?

It's the most overrated restaurant on property and I'm not sure what is close to second.

One last rant, rope drop runners grow up

My kids are older now and rope dropping on occasion is fine but I'd rather sleep in and relax. The stress of positioning and then trying to hurry takes all of the fun out of it for me. I am lucky that I have been to WDW quite a bit but it gets to be ridiculous. I blame Disney.

Question for those that have done both Topolinos Breakfast vs Chef Mickeys Dinner....Resort Question

Chef Mickey's is one of the grossest food experiences onsite. Absolutely a total skip. Anything but that.

    Posted wait times

Disney knows exactly what they are doing and they aren't using old formulas. They are manipulating behavior. It's clear as day.
