Disney 2022 - Resorts & Tickets now on sale

It’s because it’s currently closed with no given reopening date I believe - if a resort is closed it won’t show up as bookable or that’s what I was told. When it reopens or there’s a date for its reopening it’ll be bookable.

    BA cancellation

well i’ve cancelled the disney hotel and tickets anyway - i’d prefer to stay home like i’m high risk so for me it’s just not worth it for a couple of weeks at a theme park ! and like i am staying at home too i’m not shopping unless it’s for essentials, haven’t met up with any friends and i’m...

    BA cancellation

i have a BA flight september 4th gatwick to orlando and nothing yet but i’m actively wanting it to be cancelled so hoping it happens soon! think it’s way too much of a risk to be going to florida right now what with covid cases being sky high

Is your trip still going ahead?

Thanks for this - will give them a call! I mean I’m prepared to lose the flight money if it comes to it because like you in my mind I’ve already sort of accepted not getting it back and anything else is a bonus! I mean over £1000 to lose in total but even with that in mind it just doesn’t seem...

Is your trip still going ahead?

Was due to fly out 4th September with BA from Gatwick but I highly doubt we’ll be going! Waiting for as long as possible to move the trip to September 2021 mainly to see if free dining is released for next year for the same kind of dates. In terms of the flights I’m hoping they can cancelled and...

Newly released Virgin flights - when do prices settle?

I usually go from Manchester with Virgin but found flights from Gatwick with BA to be so much cheaper, the Virgin prices were just getting ridiculous - booked with BA for less than £600 pp for direct flight premium economy. Granted I have to get to Gatwick but the saving seemed worth it!

    Free Dining 2020

I booked around 11.30am, was in the queue from about 8.30am and it was saying there was a little over 10,000 in the queue at that point. Glad it’s all booked though, AKL for 8 nights from 4th September and planning on going to the Keys first for a couple of days then travelling up to Orlando...

    WDW in April

I visited mid April 2013, 2015 and 2016, so not during Spring Break or UK easter holidays I don't think (no kids so I'm not sure!), price was quite good, remember getting flights at a pretty decent cost through Virgin and I don't think any of the flights we were on were full so we were able to...

    Another Universal Ticket question..

From experience will call is a set of kiosks at the park entrance, they're mostly self operated from memory but there are some manned ones, for the kiosk you put in the card used to purchase the tickets and the reservation number and the machine just prints them off for you. It's really easy and...

Advice needed travelling with child's friend

I've taken sports trips to the US before and we just did the same, took permission letters, medical forms etc. Didn't have any problems at customs, all the kids had to go through seperately so yes I think your DD's friend will need to fill in her own form and go seperately to you through the...

    Priorities Crisis . . .

Yeah when I came to book ours I was honestly surprised that nothing went particularly quickly - I was dithering for hours, but everytime I came back to the booking everything was still available pretty much. I would say book anything that's a priority for you as soon as you can but from my...

    How to go on August?

I pretty much always go in April or August - to be honest last April was just as hot as August usually is but August is more of a sticky or humid heat. The heat feels drier in April. In all honesty though August heat has never bothered me too much, if you know it's going to be hot and you're...

August 2017 - Which do you think?

I'm flying 28th August and my flights were £590 pp direct with Virgin and then AKL was £3058 for 10 nights including tickets/dining etc if you wanted something to compare it to around the same time. That's for 2 adults. I am admittedly a bit of a hotel snob, but I've stayed at AS Sports a...

    Indirect flights

I've been indirect to MCO from MAN almost every trip to Florida I've been on bar maybe 2/3. It's so easy, been through Atlanta, JFK, Philadelphia to name a few mostly with Virgin, Delta or American. I've never missed a connecting flight, I'd say 2-2.5 hours is a good transfer time especially if...

    September Stay

Personally I like to stay on site, I did a trip in 2013 partially off site and didn't feel like I got my Disney fix. That's just me though - a lot of people recommend Wyndham Bonnet Creek as a good offsite option, with good prices so that might be worth checking out. Plus they have full kitchens...

Virgin flights for Oct 17 ridiculously expensive!

So glad we are able to go outside school holidays - direct with Virgin (MAN-MCO) very end of August £590pp which I was quite pleased with. Happy you managed to get everything sorted in the end, such panic when half the things are booked and then you have no reasonable flight options!

    2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 31, 2017 - November 13, 2017

Awesome - we usually go too early for F&W but planned next years dates for very end of August into September! Excited for my first F&W experience!

15 passenger van? anyone have experience renting one?

Yes - in 2013 we went on a sports trip, so it was a group of 15 and therefore we couldn't get away with anything smaller, I think we booked the van through Virgin but don't remember the exact cost. The person who planned to drive the vehicle, in the end couldn't because she found it so difficult...
