I apologize if this has been posted before but I have to vent. We had fast passes this evening for FEA for 7:55. Arrived at 7:49.The fast pass line was almost to China! There was NO ONE in the standby line! Disney? What are you doing? That was no fast pass!!! Has it been like this all along with FEA?

No, we used fp for the ride the last week of August. Both times had around a 10-15 min wait. and it was after dinner

Frozen broke down today during my FP time today at 5:45. When it reopened we got in the FP line around 7:20 and it was pretty long. By the time we got off the ride it was 8:05. Not ideal but not horrible considering the ride was down for like 2 hours. By the way, once you make it in the actually building you will see that the stand by line was pretty long. An easy 90 minute wait for stand by.

I wonder if the ride broke down so they cleared out the standby line and only reopened the FP line wen the ride came back up since it was close-ish to park close?
that happened to us as well. When the ride is down for a considerable amount of time they take everyone who had a fp, even after their hour, and don't open standby until the fp line has caught up

Today was out 3rd attempt to ride. I went to Guest Relations yesterday and explained what happened. They gave us another FP for FEA. They were good til 9pm. At 7pm we headed to Norway. Line was out to the concourse! Wait time 165 minutes! No standby line and only the FP line! Same thing again! We left. Stopped in Guest Relations again today. They promised FEA up and running. They gave us yet another FP. Headed right to Norway. This time we actually made it in the door, into the queue where it wraps. Then the announcement came that the ride was down and they had no idea when it would be back up! As we felt we were given a paper FP good til the 31st. Three FP and we till have not been able to ride the darn thing! Hopefully the 4th FP is the charm! As bad as I feel, I really feel bad for the folks who were about to load. What a bummer for them especially if they waited in the standby line. Maybe Disney should have waited a bit longer to open this ride. ROL delayed. FEA should have been delayed!

We had FEA fast passes for ~11:20 and that was about the longest wait we had on our whole trip! Of course it broke down while we were in line (I actually think it was when we entered the FP line-but the CM didn't tell us). I think we waited 30-35 minutes total and rode as soon as it was back up. I felt terrible for the stand-by line folks.

There is a high risk that FEA will be a time-suck, even with FP, but I'd rather have the added insurance of having a FP rather than be without one.
We did get an added benefit of the breakdown-not only did we rode FEA, but the gave us anytime FPs for another ride bc of the breakdown (we were emailed the info and it was attached to our MDE). We got to ride TT again that afternoon!

The attraction seems to break down a lot. Then the FP+ queue gets really backlogged once the ride is back up.

I am glad I did get the chance to ride it...it wasn't worth the effort and certainly not worth wasting a FP for. Now I can skip it and make more room for others to enjoy!

I think I am going to skip this on our trip. We haven't even seen the movie yet! Would rather get another FP+ for Soarin'.

Anyone have a strategy for other FPPs if your FEA FPP causes you to be late for a subsequent FPP time? Anyone have that experience? It would be enough of a bummer if FEA FPP took over an hour; but if I'm then denied entry into the FPP line because I'm late for my next FPP time due to FEA FPP line length/speed, I will loose my equanimity :furious:

I made my last FP for 2 hours after the FEA one just in case. I figured that gave me 3 hours until it expired so I'd be covered if something happened.
I rode TT first thing, then went back to SE to use that FP, then went to FEA to use that FP, and made my Figment FP 2 hours after that one. I rode FEA with no problems and went back to TT and rode that again as a Single Rider before my Figment FP time.

I don't ride Soarin' or Mission Space at all so didn't have to worry about squeezing those in.

^^seriously - do you need a FP for Figment?? We used to go to that ride and each of us used to get into an entire car by ourselves! Then we'd go through singing the song at the top of our lungs! No one was ever on that ride. Now it is an FP???

Journey into Imagination with Figment has become super popular recently so a FP is needed on certain days during peak times.

Actually Disney just gave FP+ to like every attraction, so when the good ones are all taken somebody's left with FP+ for things like Figment or Philharmagic.

On the day I went to Epcot it was a 45 minute wait most of the morning I was in Future World. Since I wanted to be sure to ride it, I got a FP. I'm sure most days aren't like that. I was only doing Epcot that day so I figured why not get a FP for Figment. I was glad I did since I wanted to spend the afternoon/evening at F&W that day.

^^Goodness - looks like we get the FP for Figment. So funny!!!!

Should I be concerned about having a FEA fastpass for 6:05 and reservations at Coral Reef at 7:15 the same evening? Was hoping to be in fastpass line right on time and get out in time to head to dinner. Not much chance of changing either at this late time (3 weeks). Should I be expecting to miss FEA in order to get to dinner on time?

Except for MK, I often end up with FPs for attractions that don't "need" them, because I have to (had to?) choose 3. I don't do all the attractions (specifically some of the "wilder" ones) so yeah, I end up with a FP for something like Crush or FOTLK that I know I'm going to do either way, so might as well...

Back to the OP, one day at Epcot, when I knew I probably wasn't going to make my FP time at Spaceship Earth, I had no trouble going on the MDE app and switching my FP to a later time. Might be worth a try, depending on crowd level and ride popularity.
