Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

@trishadono. Narcoosees NYE reservations just dropped. No mention of a special menu, looks like the regular one.
Thanks for posting this! 🙂
Thank you so much ! I had a busy afternoon. I just popped on here quick and if you hadn’t tagged me I was going to make dinner and probably missed it.

Dis is great 🥰

I checked around noon and citricos only had a 5p and N wasn’t showing,

This random drop is very frustrating !
Plenty of availability for Narcoossee’s 🙂

Bwi is so nice for Epcot! Maybe we can have mimosa ? I think it’s our AKL morning…. Then transfer to Poly cl.
I still can't decide whether to do the Tues MVMCP or not, that would be my only solo one where I can eat and ride all of the things with no one complaining, making me leave early, or otherwise directing the evening's activities. It looks crazy fun and less crowded this year. I'll let you know, but there will fo sho be an adult beverage one way or the other!

Glad you and @mrsap and @NicoleLarson got your NYE Narcoosee's res!!! Their random drops are ridiculous, and none of the res finders work now that Disney has changed their system.

Eta: the TOURING PLANS res finder no longer works, but seems like others still might?

Looking for a little help from all the CL experts. We have two water view rooms booked at WL in early January and that's because we are a family of 4 adults now and just need the extra space. I recently learned that you can possilby add CL to your room at the WL desk when you check in but it's not guaranteed. My question is, could we add CL to one room and take our boys in as guests if we are given the opportunity?

You probably could take them in as guests for one seating, but to continually take them in over the course of your trip would be extremely shady, as well as taking food back to the room for them regularly. I’m curious to see what others think or if I’m in the minority.

Shady how? Is there a written policy for bringing guests in the CL and how do they check you into the lounge? We've never stayed CL and are interested in trying it out to see if it's worth doing in future trips. Also keep in mind I'm paying for two rooms for 4 total people and looking ot add nearly $200 a night to one of them for CL access, not to move to a CL room. Therefore I'll be paying much more than one CL room for 4 people so shady this is not? We simply don't want to be packed into one room and it makes no sense to pay twice for what we could get from one room.

I read elsewhere that CL access gives you entry for the number of people that the room can accommodate. That would make sense given the price of a CL room is roughly the same no matter how many people are in it.

We are not trying to beat the system in any way and just want to know what our options are. If a policy says no then Disney just doesn't get our extra cash this trip.

Because you’re paying for one regular room with two guests and adding the CL for one room with two guests. It’s possible (although it would be highly coincidental) that they added your one room with two guests because they had room for two more guests, not four. Yes, guests are allowed within reason. If you were to bring the same guests to the lounge for all services on a daily basis, that goes well beyond a guest. Yes, they are staying in the same hotel as you, but this would still be the same situation as if they were staying at a cheaper hotel and came over to eat and drink every day. Like I said, maybe my reasoning is too strict and I’m curious what others think, but I would never dream of doing this.

The paperwork handed out during a CL stay says: The XYZ lounge is for the exclusive use of Disney's XYZ Resort Club Concierge Guests. That means people who paid to be there. Sure, people will occasionally invite a friend, family member, etc to a service or grab a drink in the lounge (something I don’t think is all that common), but routinely bringing a non-CL guest would not be the right thing to do, in my opinion.

Disney runs their hotels and CLs at very high occupancy rates and there is a razor’s edge of pretty much all CLs being able to properly accommodate the paying guest count as it is.

It being Disney (who doesn’t like to say no to guests) it’s probably not totally outside the realm of possibility for a CM to say it’s fine if you were to ask, but I personally think that goes beyond the spirit/intent of their published policy and the way WL’s CL add-on is meant to work.

My two cents.

I'm interested in hearing what others have to say too, especially if there are some facts, recent personal experiences, or written rules that help answer my question.

Why don’t you just ask the front desk when you check in if it’s okay if you pay for two but regularly take in four since they are staying in a regular room at WL with you? You will have a definite answer, and you can report back here so we know for certain. You can also email or call Signature Services before your trip and they can answer your question.

Yes, they should. We were third floor at the other end, and we loved the room and the balcony, but the performers we’re right outside the room. We wanted to go to bed early one evening for a 5:40am flight, and it wasn’t really possible. However, during the day there’s a possibility that construction on the CakeBake Shop could be disruptive since it’s on the end with the green rooms.
We did have a lot of noise from the Cake Bake construction on the weekdays we were there - it didn’t start very early though and wrapped up by 4 or so? We were in 4227.

The written rule is pretty clear. Adding the CL benefit would be for room 1234 and the registered guests of that room. Room 1234 extending the entire benefit to the registered guests of room 5678 would be violating the policy. In that vein, why wouldn’t strangers split the upgrade cost and all enjoy the CL benefit across multiple rooms?

But I get it. You are a family of 4 who could stay in 1 room and all get the benefit but instead are paying for 2 rooms for the space, but then would be unable to have all of you use the lounge. It doesn’t seem necessarily fair to me either.

But, my opinion is that if your boys are old enough to have their own room and be responsible to stay alone in it, then if you want them to have CL access, then they should have the paid upgrade as well for that room. Stinks to have to pay the additional fee though.

Thank you for the help! I was thinking of outside noise but the hallway noise is also something to think about.
Do you think the areas you highlighted in green would have less noise at night because they are further from the center of the boardwalk?
(Regardless of where we end up I’ll be happy even if I need earplugs😂. The last time we were at WDW was March 2020 and the parks were closed halfway through our trip. We are so excited to go back.)
We had a Boardwalk view this past August, but were on the DVC side, pretty much right next to the bars/dancehall. DH said each night something woke him, from people being loud coming out from Jellyrolls, or the Dancehall, or something being rolled down the boardwalk. I, however, slept like a baby and heard nothing!!! And even if I did, the view was so worth it, I wouldn’t have cared!! lol Enjoy it!!

I don't think there are any recent personal experiences because I have never heard of someone doing this before and I've been reading this thread for a long time. I think this would be discouraged as it could quickly lead to people paying the upgrade fee for one room and invite friends/relatives in other rooms to the lounge.

I agree with the advice to call Signature Services and ask them to clarify the rules for your stay. I would also be interested in their response because if this is ok I will certainly take advantage for a future stay!

*I looked at a random date for 4 in CL vs 2 in 2 resort view rooms and the difference was ~$200/night higher for two rooms. I would view that price, even adding CL fees for all, as a reasonable price to pay for what is a more comfortable stay with a lot more room. Also note that CL add-ons are not guaranteed to be available.

And not just those with the upgrade fee. We could stretch it to CL stays too. My husband & I often stay CL & are put in a room with 2 queen beds. Following the “room capacity is 4” logic, we should be able to have our son & DIL accompany us to the lounge all the time when they’re in a regular room. Heck, why not say even if they’re staying at a different resort. After all, we’re 4 people but paying for 2 rooms on property too. 🙄

It's not for guests not paying for a CL room or access. I think a lot of people have weighed in and given their thoughts. If you want CL access for all, you need to pay for all. It may not even be an option for you, there is a set capacity for the lounge and if all CL rooms are booked, it's not likely they will offer it as an add on.

Personally, and I am sorry for my negative opinion before state it. I paid 10K last December and 6K this October for CL WV service at the YC. If I knew people who did not pay for CL were allowed in CL, I think I would blow my top. Its similar to my reasoning to give up my Red Sox Premium Season Tickets this year. I know firsthand that ushers were allowing people to sit in my area which is exclusive to Premium Season Ticket holders. They were paying 80 to 90 per cent less than my Season Ticket price. When I spoke to the Red Sox about that, they did acknowledge it happens so therefore I am the sucker for paying a premium price for an exclusive area. No one is supposed to be allowed in the area, but they were. Similar, no one is allowed to dine in CL unless you have been granted CL assess. I have since quit my season tickets even though I was promise they would be more careful. Same should go for CL. It crowded enough without adding more. Again, I am sorry to be so harsh. It's the principle.

I agree completely, I don't think it's negative at all! And as another Red Sox fan in Boston, I'd be pretty frustrated by that, too. Go Bruins!

Back at Animal Kingdom Kilimanjaro Club for the second half of our trip.

An update on the ice cream bar situation: the Mickey bars and ice cream sandwiches are available all day upon request. A CM retrieved one for me today from a place she called “the cage” which is all the way down the hall at the opposite end of the lobby (left side of my second picture) This is where the ice cream is locked up all day. For the 8-10pm dessert service, they wheeled in the ice cream freezer (plugged it in next to the soda fridge on left side of first picture) so that it was available to all. I believe this is due to the ice cream bar hoarding that some of us have witnessed in the past.
