Any New Info about the Disney Treasure?

I really would love to keep the Fantasy in PC. I’m planning transportation to our cruise out of Port Everglades in 2024 and not looking forward to the increase time to get to port.
Shouldn't transportation be easier? The airport is right next to the cruise port and there are hotels in the area.

Maybe they are already in Florida? Because for us, yes, the flight is a touch longer, but the hotel we booked has a shuttle from the airport and to the cruise terminal. No extra car rental, etc. required. I'd skip PC from now on depending on the routes.

If the Treasure is designed like the Wish and replaces the Fantasy on 7-Night cruises people are going to be quite upset. No walking track, lack of adult spaces and other issues the Wish had won’t be as overlooked on longer itineraries.
I guess some people will always be upset, though. The Wish has been very successful so far, despite complaints here. Not everyone needs or wants a walking track. There are plenty of adult spaces.

With the Fantasy, we saw Disney improve on the Dream after feedback from guests. We'll probably see some improvements with the Treasure, too, and hopefully those improvements eventually come back to the Wish.

Miami is no offered as a starting point after this October. Time for the contract with Port Everglades to begin.

I am wondering if the Fantasy and Treasure could both do Eastern and Western for a time. Only offering 7-nights on the new, expensive ship could prohibit some cruisers. Simply have both Eastern and Western (or modifications to existing itineraries) going simultaneously,
I guess you could have the Treasure go to the East/West on Saturdays. Then the Fantasy to the other unoccupied side on Sundays. But I have a feeling that the Fantasy will move somewhere else for at least part of the year. She might split between Port Canaveral and San Diego to fill the gap of the Wonder being in Australia.

Adult areas are not impressive on the Wish. There may be more bars, but they are small and scattered around the whole ship. The adult pool areas are also another issue along with Cove Cafe. Regarding the walking track. It is very popular on the Fantasy (been on it 7 times) and it is baffling they got rid of it.

Success doesn't mean it's a good ship. I know someone who has been on 100+ Disney Cruises and all Maiden Voyages and they said it was the worst trip ever and hated the ship. I would think they know a thing or two.

I hope they improve the Treasure, but if they don't, there will be more backlash for replacing the Fantasy than the Dream. Fantasy is the most popular ship.

I think that you're missing my points.

1. The smaller, scattered bars are intentional. Disney even said so. Guests complained that they didn't like having all of the bars in a dark area at the back of the ship, so Disney spread them out and made sure that most of them have big windows. Some guests don't like the change, but others do.

2. The walking track isn't that popular. For some guests, it's a must have feature. Most guests never use it as a walking track. The Wish still has a promenade and, for the first time, it actually goes right up to the bow of the ship. It has stairs and doesn't loop around the back, so it isn't a walking track. But for most guests, this is probably an improvement. I used to make a point of walking all the way around once just to see everything, but I never cared about using the promenade to walk a few miles in the morning. I'm much more excited that I can finally stand right at the front of the ship. So, again, some guests don't like the change, but others do.

3. The adult pool itself is probably too small, but it's in a better location. The seating area is actually quite large, though apparently lacking in shade. And, there's only one hot tub instead of two. So, sure, the pool area probably isn't quite right, yet. This might be something that's improved on the Treasure. We saw a similar situation with the Fantasy improving on the adult-only outdoor space compared to the Dream.

4. Disney isn't necessarily catering to guests who already have 100+ cruises. The Wish sails 3/4-night Bahamian cruises and those are the cruises that mostly attract new guests.

Again, some guests will like changes and others won't. That's how it always is. Some people didn't like the Dream, either.

I LOVE how the lounges on the Wish are spread out! Then I don’t feel like I’m stuck in a hole, hiding from my children. I can be near the atrium where they’re watching musicians with their grandma, or in the Bayou where my teen can walk by and give us a quick status on where they are headed next. I love wandering around the ship and finding a place that looks open with a nice window seat to sit for a bit when we are waiting for our kids to be done in the clubs, or seeing that there’s a place nearby when we have an hour to wait for our next planned event… I like being where I can people watch, or out and about wandering around the ship and seeing what’s going on. I don’t know, I just really like it 🥰

As someone with a heart condition, I just hope they add the extra midship elevators. Also, those touch keypads need to go, cannot begin to count how many times someone accidently came to close to the keypad and we ended up stopping at every floor. That being said, I really enjoyed the Wish and I am sure the Treasure will be fun to sail.

The Wish really isn't popular at all with people who have cruised with Disney before. Its a huge draw for newbies. Yes its gorgeous but there are a lot of complaints about it. Not just a couple things. Its a pretty common consensus for returning cruisers that its not a bad ship at all but its not as great as the others. I did a poll here a few months ago which showed that. Its discussed all the time in FB groups, etc.

The Wish isn't a failure for a ship but generally we expect each ship to be better and better. That's just not what happened. If you ask many of the cruisers who went on the Dream and had been on multiple other ships before they rarely say the Wish is their favorite.

Again, not a bad ship just not up to par with the rest of the fleet in terms of customer expectation.

If the Treasure is a carbon copy of the Wish I doubt we will be cruising on it.
While the physical structure will me very similar (but not exact) there will certainly be differences in theming.

We are DCL platinum and have sailed the Wish twice. Wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
