"Official" 2023 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party - Let's Get Spooky!

So, I got my MNSSHP ticket online at 7:125 AM.
Here it is 8:40 PM, and while it's appeared on my charge card, and is on my tickets page on the WDW site, I've not gotten an email receipt. I can't link the ticket to "My Plans."
I called and got the confirmation number, so that's something.

Has anyone else not received an email receipt?
It is very annoying, IMHO, that the MNSSHP shows up in your Tickets, but it doesn't show up in My Plans. That's how it was last year, and it looks like that's how it is going to be this year, too. Why does Disney think it is a good idea NOT to show it under My Plans?

When I bought my MNSSHP tickets this morning, I received an email receipt immediately, and I see our tickets linked in MDE. The irony is that the email receipt says "View Itinerary in My Plans" with a link, even though MNSSHP is listed under Tickets but not My Plans / Daily Itinerary.

I'm not sure if you're aware but there is a Notes feature where you can add your party. Definitely not as good as it automatically displaying but an option for a workaround.

I can't find it on MDE either!

I really want to go to the party either 10/5 or 10/6 but I don't know if all my travel party will be able to go (vacation time). If I go ahead and purchase tickets for the entire party (6 adults and 1 child) and 4 adults end up not going will I just eat the $756.00? I know that it says no refunds but is there a way to credit the extra tickets to my account? If I don't link them to my travel party until closer and they had to cancel their reservation could the party tickets be just a credit in my account that I could use later for either park tickets or another year party tickets?
Tickets bought through undercover tourist are 95% refundable, as long as you don't go past the party date. That is, try to get a refund after the party date has passed. You can even get a refund the day of the party

Where can one find the Note feature?
I haven't found out how to do it on the app but it's available online.

- Login to MDE
- under 'My Plans...' there is an option to 'Add More Plans'
- click the dropdown box and look for 'Notes'

- a box will be displayed for you to enter date, time, location, subject and details and then you can also decide who in your family and friends you wish to share this with.

We're meeting friends at Disney a couple of days so we'll share our notes with them. This is also where you can add your party info and it will show up in your daily schedule.

Hope this helps!

Got it in my cart and just debating with myself to push the purchase button 🤣. I think it’s enough to tip the balance. Birthday MNSSHP it is. 🎉
Hopefully they bring back the poison apple cupcake. I missed it in the past (2018?) because we spent a lot of time in Adventureland/Fantasyland and by the time we got to Main Street the bakery had closed. I loved the haunted mansion portrait tarts (esp. peanut butter tart 2017).

Are you sure about this? When I chatted with undercover tourist yesterday they told me that the tickets were 95% refundable up to 90 days out from party date. But they don’t start selling them until May 2. I guess I will check with them on May 2nd.

Question… I am not really a fireworks person. But I’ve never seen the MNSSHP fireworks. Or actually any WDW fireworks…but I was thinking about trying for 7DMT or BTMR for during the fireworks instead… thoughts?

I would choose 7DMT if you’re not planning on doing BTMR afterwards (long walk; easier to do BTMR first and walk back to fantasyland and then exit). You could still see some fireworks and that line usually exceeds BTMR at all hours (BTMR line drops after fireworks and everyone rushes to 7DMT near park closing).

The lowest wait for SDMT will be at park close (around 45 mins). We’ve had to wait 60 mins when posted was 45 (we got in line 30 mins to park close).

Closer to your date, look at forecasted wait times on the tip board on MNSSHP nights.

From my 2018 notes:

A cast member was holding a Not-So-Poison Apple Cupcake in front of the Main Street Bakery. Advertised for MNSSHP but available during the day.

It was pretty good. Tasty apple cake. Very very very sweet buttercream frosting; sweeter than most Disney cupcakes. Note that there are crunchy things in this cupcake because some idiot at Disney has decided that we want our cupcakes to crunch.

(That made me laugh to re-read, but I stand by my comment. I do not like crunchy things in my cupcakes.)

Sorry y'all but if I only get one pastry wish, it's that they bring back Constance's Wedding Cake:

This tiny wedding cake from 2019 was so good, we've been talking about it ever since.

Let's see. What did I think of the wedding cake in 2019? My notes say:

Waited in line at the popcorn stand in Liberty Square to get the wedding cake. Asked for a fork. They had spoons which they forgot to put out. The cake is kept in an ice cream freezer cart. It is in a plastic dome, so you can walk with it, but it will melt quickly. Found a seat on a bench nearby to eat it.

Apparently I had no thoughts about how it tasted, but only about the mechanics of eating it LOL.

IMO it all depends on what you are looking for.

If you are looking for an outdoor ride while the fireworks are going off in the sky above you, I would go for BTMR because you will have a better chance of being on the ride at that time. In fact, in the past we have ridden it multiple times during the MNSSHP fireworks because it was a walk on at the time.

If you are looking to have a shorter wait time for 7DMT, that would probably be a good time to go.

For those of you like me who are worried about the crowds on the first night, the wait times from the thrill-data.com site don't look bad from the first event last year (unfortunately it won't seem to let me post the link here even though I see some other cases on the board where links to that site have been posted).

Hopefully there is some truth to the prior statements that it doesn't matter too much which night you go when they are all sold out.

I saw Tim Tracker’s review on it and decided it was not for me.

My tickets eventually appeared in MDE after around 6 hours, I have never had that issue before normally they are there straight away.

Does anyone know if memory maker is included in the cost of the party ticket for the event? It is listed on the party webpage on disneyworld.com but not clear if it is an additional cost?
